I would buy this for everyone I know

I bought this with intentions of baking cookies, and have been making anything possible. Because of the high power, mixing anything is fast and easy. The only drawback is that the bowl does not have the handle and there is no pouring shield. But I've managed so far with out them. As with any Kitchenaid stand mixer, make sure you have the counter space for it since it is too heavy to be moving around a lot.
tip: if you plan on purchasing any accessories make sure you search for your model specifically since there are 2 sizes. Too many people gave poor reviews for attachments because they got the wrong size.
What's great about it: Makes baking easy

LISTEN TO ME..DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT IF YOUR WIFE KNOWS HOW TO BAKE AND COOK . IF YOU DO SO FORGET ABOUT LOOSING THAT EXCESS POUNDS AND LOOKING GOOD AND PLAN OF BUYING SOME EXTRA EXTRA LARGE CLOTHS FROM "BIG AND TALL".AS SHE WILL GO CRAZY AND WILL START TO COOK AND BAKE LIKE MAD. AND YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO RESIST EATING ALL THE DECADENT CAKES AND COOKIES. A VERY GOOD "WEIGHT GAIN - AID"....MY WIFE JUST LOVES IT. I bought this to replace the hand held mixer that I've had for years (also a KitchenAid). I started making cakes for family and friends and the buttercream icing that I make was just too much for the hand-held, so I purchased this mixer. It has been great with heavy batters and icings. I enjoy being able to turn it on and continue working on something else while it is mixing! It is a bit heavy so I leave it out on the counter. Very happy with my purchase!
What's great about it: Ease of operation
What's not so great: Quite heavy
I would recommend this to a friend!

Still made from heavy cast metal and durable parts. This device is a powerful tool in any kitchen. No regrets for this purchase!
What's great about it: More accessories than I can shake a stick at
What's not so great: Best buy only carries the red one in this size.

If you bake this is a must! Cookies and cakes are now a breeze. Even things that I used to dread making like Guinness bread because the dough is so thick and hard to work with. Whipped cream is perfect and Madeleines are so light and fluffy, a must for any serious baker.
What's great about it: Everything, I bake twice as much now.
What's not so great: The wisk really isn't dishwasher safe....
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most definitely the best kitchen appliance I've ever bought for my baking wife. She absolutely loves it and the benefits of her baking more benefit me ! It's worked since day one and without a hitch. My only suggestion is to make sure you DO NOT place attachments in the dishwasher. They are glazed with an alloy that doesn't do well in the dishwasher. It clearly states this in the directions but if your excited to hurry and use your mixer, you may skip over the instructions a little bit.

Totally Worth It!

I watch a lot cooking shows and bake, especially around the holidays. Now I understand why so many chefs and cooks have this "helper" in the their kitchens. It is heavy, first of all, it is not as loud as I thought it would be. But what I love most about this "miracle from the kitchen gods" are the attachments. I can go from mixing or stirring to grinding deer meat for sausages. It's a "second pairs of hands" both my husband and I can use. Also, he loves to show off the grinder SKU 3888207 and stuffer SKU 9749154 to his hunting buddies. I have not made homemade pasta before but owning the "best thing since sliced bread" I am very much tempted to purchase the pasta maker. The value and everything that does and can do, depending on whether or not you purchase the attachments is totally worth it.
