I bought this for my wife because she wanted to learn how to bake. As usual she falls out of love with her hobbies too quickly. We did use it several times in the beginning and it performed great. Easy to change mixer parts and remove the bowl. The build quality is excellent. Low speed with a lot of torque for mixing heavy dough, at high speeds it works quickly. This is an item that should last for a very long time, so I guess I'll pick up baking as a hobby now. Ps. The red looks really nice as well.

This is my favorite small appliance. Having it plugged in and ready to mix encourages me to bake homemade treats for my family. The stand allows me to grab ingredients while it mixes which speeds up the process. It's quality is excellent and is a good value. I would only suggest that Kitchen Aid make all of the tools and bowl dishwasher safe so that clean up would be as easy as baking.
Pros: easy to use, Design, Convenient Features, Performance
Cons: some pieces must be hand washed

I have always wanted one of these and when the price was in my budget I purchased one. The only complaint I have is that when you change the beaters black comes off of the top on your hand.
