I've coveted the Kitchenaid stand mixers for years and, thanks to a bridal shower, finally have one of my own. It's as great as everyone says it is--very easy to perfectly whip and mix. I'm looking forward to trying many new techniques and attachments to get the full benefit of the Kitchenaid, but for now, I'm making perfect cakes every time!

I love my mixer. It make baking so much easier for me. My only concern is that the machine runs hot really quick. I'm not sure if that's normal or I have a defective mixer. I've used these mixers before, while in pastry school. I'll keep an eye on it.
