I am only giving this 3-stars because I was very disappointed to learn that the silver mixing paddle was not machine washable. My husband had washed it and now it's unusable and chalky. Pretty lame that the porcelain fixtures aren't included. Also, I wish this was all made in America, not just assembled here. Come on KitchenAid!

I bought this product several weeks ago. I love the bowl and the machine itself, however, the attachments are very cheap. The attachments need to be handwashed. I tried to put the beater in the dishwasher and it came out black and corroded-like and therefore, I needed to scrub it with steelwool to get it clean again. Anyway, I wish the attachments were made from stainless steel.
The machine itself works great.

I received my stand mixer as a Christmas present from my husband and I've used it at least twice a week since. It's not just for baking folks! I mash potatoes, shred cooked chicken, knead dough, whip anything and everything. It's the best appliance I have ever owned and I absolutely love it!!

I got this mixer for Christmas 2016 and was incredibly excited thinking I would use it weekly, but I was wrong. I first tried making a 3 dozen cookie batch but it made such a mess, I had to switch everything out and use my hand mixer! Maybe if I buy a guard for it the ingredients won't splash out and I won't have flour, butter and eggs all over myself and my counters. Months later I decided I would give it another go and use it to make 2 loves of bread, and again all my ingredients splashed out everywhere, so I used my hands to help shield myself and continued with making dough, then the dough began going up the attachment creating a bigger mess so i had to continually stop the mixer and pull the dough down.....to top it off the mixer doesn't stay down while it's mixing so I have to manually hold it down.They might advertise that it can mix 3 3/4 loves, but I beg to differ....maybe they meant 3 3/4 mini loves. Since then my mixer has been sitting on my counter unused and strictly for decoration purposes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
