After years of making things either by hand or using a small hand-mixer, having the KitchenAid is a god send! I've never completed my baking projects more quickly, or had more fun doing so.
In the past, making crusts and batters felt almost chore-like. Now, I can't wait to try new things, and find myself whipping up pies and other confections just to give away! It's that fun using the mixer.
Lovely Christmas present from my parents, and I can't possibly thank them enough.

Makes mixing double batches of cookies a breeze! Cleans up great with plenty of power to handle heavy duty jobs. Don't know how I managed without it. I would certainly recommend this product to anyone looking for a reliable mixer. I just wish that it came equipped with a few more attachments. Everything but the basics are available at an additional cost.

My husband bought me the 4.5 Quart mixer in the light mint this year as an early Christmas present. I absolutely love the way it looks on my counter, and compliments the other teal/mint pops of color I have in my kitchen. My only complaint thus fat is that the splash guard does not sit down all the way around the bowl, and there is an opening right below the pour spout. This causes flour and light liquid to come splashing out very easily, and cover everything within reach on the counter/wall/refrigerator, etc. I was very surprised with this, as we have a 5 quart model that is about 8 years old, and has the interlocking rings that go all the way around, and I have never had this problem with the mixer. I like the look of the splash guard, but in practice it does not work worth anything! Is there something that can be done, maybe re-designing the splash guard? Additionally, the speed at stir is so fast, that there is almost no speed change between stir and 3/4, which again aggregates the liquid/flower sloshing.
