40 years and still cranking

I have had the Ultra Power Kitchenaid Mixer for over 40 years. The only thing that has happened is the handle that adjusts power got bent in a move somewhere along the way. Does not affect the function. If you make typical household recipes for cakes, cookies and so forth, the capacity of the 4.5 qt is ample. If you go bigger, make sure you don't have to haul it out of a cupboard or a pantry because these things are heavy duty.
The only thing I think could be better has already been improved. The beater without the flex edge leaves some unmixed material against the side of the bowl. I am ordering the flex edge beater to solve that problem.

I have read super reviews so I have to believe this is a one off and that I can get my new mixer exchanged. For some reason the machine seems to rock whilst mixing so I'm thinking there is a fault somewhere in the system?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My late husband gave me my KitchenAid over 40 years ago. It is now on its way out, probably exhausted! Hating to part with it, now I need a replacement.
