Got this for my birthday. Which is right before the holiday season starts, so of course I was excited to try it out. I love it! A new tradition was added. Lol. The holidays will now always include my Kitchenaid!

Always wanted a KitchenAid

I have always wanted a KitchenAid and was very excited to receive this mixer as a gift. Now imagine my disappointment the first time I tried to mix bread dough. All the ingredients are mixed together, dough hook is installed and makes a handful of revolutions... then boom! The bowl spins out of the lock plate. Operator error? Nope. Multiple attempts are made with the same results. And no, the mixer is not cranked up to 10. Now I’m left with a bowl that spins through the lock plate without locking in place and the kitchen appliance of my dreams being nothing more than a decorative piece.

I got this mixer for christmas and I am in love with it. It is so smooth and mixes well. I have not used it for any dough or stuff like that, but It made my cake batter super smooth and consistent.

Bought this for my wife for Christmas. Hers had finally given up from 10 plus years ago. She hasn't stopped baking since! Good for all of us, bad for the waistlines!
Only thing I would say is a con is that the bowl that comes with the mixer does not have a handle which can make it very hard to remove sometimes. The old bowl fits so no worries but I think the new mixer should come with the handled bowl.

I received my Kitchenaid as a Christmas gift last year and I love it! I had been watching lots of cooking and baking shows and wanted to have the same tool shown in all those shows. We'll I've put it through lots of tests so far and it is wonderful. I bake a lot of cookies for school functions and my Camp Fire club and it makes it so much faster than with a hand mixer. I've learned how to make ice cream with the mixer without an ice cream maker attachment too. My only complaint is now I have to work out longer to burn off the calories I'm producing in my Kitchenaid!
