What a birthday surprise! When I saw the perfectly wrapped box, I made a BIG wish.
And guess what?!? My wonderful son made it happen. YES, a bright red smoking hot Kitchenaid Mixer. It was the best gift ever, besides him of course;) Love it, love it, luv it. Now my new kitchen is complete. And, I feel EMPOWERED to conquer the holidays and any recipe in the world!

I brought this stand mixer for a gift to myself for Christmas my cakes turn out amazing the cake is softer than my other mixer and I just love it.

I bought my kitchenaid because of hearing how great and versatile they were. I love using it for any mixing and blending of ingredients. The only problem I have had with it, was trying to make pizza dough. I looked at the owners manual to see how much flower I could put in the mixing bowel. It said 5-6 cups and to use a slow setting on the mixer. So I put only 4 cups of flower in the bowel with the dough hook attachment and added my wet ingredients. I turned the machine on and it made a mess, pushing flower out of the bowel. Once a decent dough ball was made, the machine started to bogg down and you could smell a burning electrical odor. So I turned it off and finished neading the dough with my hands. The machine still works great and for now on, I will only mix a couple cups of flower at a time.

I received this as a gift for Christmas. I've been wanting one for quite a long time. My daughter was given one as a gift and gave me her hand mixer (which is also very nice). Up until about a year ago I didn't feel enough of a need to justify purchasing this item for myself. However, in the past year I have been doing a lot more baking, mostly sheet cakes and cheesecakes. I have some really great recipes and whenever I bring these two particular desserts to events they are the hit of the party! It's such a pleasure making them using my new mixer. Just not having to hold the hand mixer and being able to easily scrape the bowl making baking a pleasure. My daughter knew how much I loved her mixer (her's is stainless) and she also knew that I would love my own in the red color. I have an all white kitchen and this mixer really pops on my counter. I'm so looking forward to my next party.

I've been wanting a Kitchen Aid since my mom got one ages ago for our family. Now I'm "all grown up" with my own house and naturally I had to get one of my own. The price is a bit hard to swallow, but the quality of the mixer and how awesome it looks in my kitchen and knowing that it will be around for a long time - way worth it.

Most people don't realize just how awesome our mixer is. Sure, they say "that looks sleek," and "I love the red!" But they don't get it. All it takes to make them truly realize just how wonderful our mixer is, though, is to put a servicing of torte down in front of them. "This is amazing," they say, and I reply, "couldn't have done it without our mixer." I recommend getting one to each and every guest we have.
