I joined the glorious KitchenAid Master Race last Christmas.
I'm astonished how this appliance has improved the quality and variety of my baking: I can turn out better cookies, cakes and breads than I can buy at the supermarket, and without artificial flavors, preservatives or excess sugar. (The desire to eat less factory-processed food was my main motivation for learning to cook.)
The Ultra Power comes with 3 attachments (paddle, dough hook, whip) and a mixing bowl. This is a minimal but complete set that will leave you wanting for nothing when it comes to trying all the recipes on YouTube that you used to skip because you didn't have a stand mixer.
The motor is powerful enough to mix a batch of Oatmeal-Raisin cookie dough, which is very much like concrete after the walnuts are added, without walking across the counter or grinding the tooth off the gears. It mixes those ingredients more quickly and completely than they can ever be mixed by hand, which is the reason they turn out so much better than you'd expect from a homemade cookie.
I love my KitchenAid stand mixer, it was the nicest gift I've ever received.

I love my new kitchen aid mixer. Replaced my old plain white one with a colorful new one with more attachments. I don't use the attachments as much as I thought I would but I love them when I do! LOVE the color blue I got.
