A fabulous mixer

Has withstood the test of time!

20 years ago my brother indulged my love for baking and bought me this mixer as a wedding present. I have spent more hours than I can count standing at this mixer preparing anything and everything that I could bake. I use my mixer on a weekly basis and it has never failed me. I have been baking for for close to 40 years now and half of that time has been with this mixer. When our kids were growing up they very seldom had store bought pastry or bread now our 8 year old grandson enjoys the sweet treats I prepare for him with my mixer. Only difference between my mixer and the one shown here is my mixer is white. Great job KitchenAid, this definitely has not disappointed me...nor my family!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought an Ultra Power stand mixer to replace the one I'd had for over 15 years. The worm gear broke, I bought a replacement gear, could not (after 2 hours of trying) get the pin out to get the machine open to replace the worm gear.
So, I had to get a new Ultra Power mixer.
My only complaint about the new KitchenAid mixer I just got is that it unlocks itself and bounces around while it kneads dough. My old one didn't do that.
It's frustrating to have to hold the machine, when I should be able to walk a few feet away to get ingredients, butter a bowl, preheat the oven, etc.
There's no KitchenAid service company in my state, and I refuse to pay the shipping to send this thing back.
Next time, I'll buy a Hobart.

I felt the price was just a little to much but I got one and I absolutely love it. They are heavy and built well unlike some others I have seen. Definitely cant wait to buy and try the attachments.

I am so happy with my Kitchenaid Stand Mixer. I made a cake and frosting with the mixer and it came out perfectly. So much easier and more efficient than doing it by hand.
