Perfect Sweet Spot Mixer

I absolutely love this Ultra Power stand mixer. I purchased one in 2014 and appreciated how well it did mixing everything I made. I decided to give this mixer to my daughter for her family, because I had an Artisan mixer as well. The week the Ultra Power mixer left my apt. I realized how much I was constantly using it, and how much I missed it. So after 6 months without it, I have just ordered another Ultra Power stand mixer which will arrive this week. This model will always be in my kitchen. What do I love about it? The power is great. It handles all the things I use it for on a weekly basis--scone baking, batters for cakes, brownies, dough for cookies, mashed potatoes, shredding chicken and pork. Mine came with the second 3 qt bowl, and I used it for making frosting for holiday cookies, and smaller jobs. It was so handy to have the extra bowl. I also love the fact that the mixer came with coated beaters, and shed the ingredients so easily. I got the flex edge beater too, and love it because I do not have to scrape down the bowl for cakes and lighter batter. I like the fact that I can pour things into the bowl while mixing. I would recommend a pouring shield for adding flour, or eggs. This mixer is not so heavy that it's hard to move around if you can not keep it on your counter top. I can lift it and move it around very well. I am 61 and those things do make a difference now. I can see myself using this mixer when I am in my 80's. It's a great size for a family with children. It is not intimidating to use with supervision for small kids. I do own a special edition Artisan mixer with the glass bowl as well, but I wanted the Ultra Power back. It fits the "sweet spot" for all that I bake. I love this brand of stand mixers and will always have two in my kitchen. I am also thinking of getting a third mixer, a larger 7 qt KA mixer because when I retire, I am going to do a food truck and sell my baked goods. Get this mixer! It's a perfect size.

I bought the Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer before Thanksgiving, and it has proven to be the best appliance in my kitchen. I always do tons of holiday baking, and I have used it over and over for all my holiday baking.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m overall happy with my mixer but sometimes getting the attachments on it or off it are hard. I’m not sure why as I wipe it down before & after each use. It’s also quite noisy but neither one of those are too much of an issue right now.

I bought this last week and I've made dozens of Christmas cookies with no effort. I love that I don't have to hold a mixer anymore. I think I will get the bowl shield. Even on low speed flour can fly out of the bowl. Another plus is that It's much quieter than my old hand mixers.

I was given this mixer as a gift, and I love how well it mixes batter and dough. I truly love the mixer; however, I wish mine had a handle. I gave it 4 stars because I believe that every mixer bowl should come with a handle.
