I love this fridge

I bought this refrigerator last Oct 2010 to replace my fridge that was on it's last legs. It is huge inside, very quiet and I love the bottom freezer. The adjustable shelves on the door and in the fridge really make it easy to put a ton of "stuff" in it. It is really easy to move to clean behind it and under it.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Having the fridge portion on top makes it easier to see your fruit & vegetable drawers so they don't go bad. The bottom freezer drawer is an awesome feature. It's not so heavy as a drawer and you can more easily reach the stuff in the back. The capacity of the fridge is great and the shelves are easily adjustable. The door has a drink shelf which is great for a gallon of milk or a couple wine bottles & the door doesn't seem stressed by the weight. Only problem I have is I have a lot of trouble getting in to the refridgerator light bulb spot.

Bought this refrigerator in July 2011 and had nothing but troble with ice build up and we had two techs here to look at it aswell. Every six months we go through having to unplug it and take everything out and leave it sit until it thaws out, luckily this time it was freezing ouside so we were abke to throw everything outsideotother wise we would have lost everything agian. To me something seems fault. This tume the top part stoped cooling and then two days later started back up cooling agian also notice when one door shuts the other pops open which could be the cause of the problem. If I would have the money to I would just go buy a new fridge but I bought one that was in my budget and was going to work for us and instead I have one that has problems.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Early problems

We have only had this product for 2.5 weeks and already are having problems. Ice maker does not produce ice at the rate advertised or stated in the manual. My research on the Internet reveals that this is a commom problem with this product. I am awaiting service now.

Strange "normal" noises

I am disappointed with the weird popping, gurgling, hissing noises along with the high pitch hum. I also know it is not unique to this product, as my neighbor is experiencing many of the same noises with her new energy efficient fridge as well.
It would seem if we can do all these remarkable feats of engineering we should be able to have appliances that don't require ear plugs be worn.

this bottom freezer model provides outstanding performance, design and more customer satisfaction for my family than any other manufacturer that we saw on the competive market. The form and function are fitted with the highest quality ideas and much needed innovations. I can only say if you want to be pleased buy LG. You just cant go wrong.
