After years of other good dishwashers, I finally convinced my husband to buy a Bosch. Our other dishwashers, while they cleaned well enough, they were never as quiet as I wanted them to be. Even ones that were rated as quiet in a leading consumer's magazine. So when thy old one died, I put my foot down and insisted on quiet. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this dishwasher and it gets my highest approval. It is so quiet you can have a normal conversation while standing right by it when it's running. And I thought all dishwashers cleaned about as well in the upper price range. Not so -- I've never had glasses come out as sparkling. Now, it has a filter that needs to be cleaned once a week but the trade-off is the quietest dishwasher on the planet. Just scrape your dishes, don't rinse and there you go. Cleaning the filter is no problem as it will take you less than three minutes. I have told everyone I know to get a Bosch. The racking system isn't as versatile as my old washer, but I'll take the quiet any day.

Bosch dishwashers were rated as being one of the quietest. This one is rated at 46dBA. I have used it a couple of times. I have to say, I am impressed. Not sure what 46dBA's sound like, I can hardly tell if it's even running. I literally have to put my ear against it to hear it; super quiet. My refrigerator makes more noise than this dishwasher. I just knew there was no way the dishes could be clean, both times, dishes were totally clean.
