Incredibly quiet and no pre-wash required!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have had this dishwasher now for almost a year and I cannot begin to say how pleased I am with it. My husband and I have had a number of dishwashers as renters. All of the them were clumpy and extremely loud.
When we it came to buying a dishwasher for our new home...we looked for a dishwasher that could clean efficiently. I always found it upsetting when I had to pre-wash dishes so that the dishwasher could "clean" our dishes properly. I mean, I always felt like I was washing dishes twice. Also, it was always annoying to hear the dishwasher "swooshing" in the middle of the night.
I no longer have to "pre-wash" dishes with this dishwasher. It has a great mesh at the bottom of the dishwasher that catches food clumps. Also, none of my dishes have water/soap stains when it finishes washing. The trays are versatile and allow me to fit practically anything in it .... i.e. blender cups, cutting boards, serving dishes, etc. This dishwasher is also extremely quiet. When we first started using it, we kept opening the dishwasher to verify that it was washing lol. This is a great feature especially since we live in a tiny house.
I would highly recommend this dishwasher to anyone and everyone. Not only is this dishwasher beautiful to look at, it has been designed to be incredibly efficient and quiet!!!

Way better than our Whirlpool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had the whirlpool gold series which had to be replaced once and fixed on numerous occasions. We just replaced our second whirlpool with this and we are never going back.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our daily tasks are done by the most proficient person at the task. My wife is an accomplished chef and to balance that task with a related one, cleaning up after meals falls to me, the most proficient pot walloper. A lengthy intro to a straight forward analysis of this machine. I did the research and the purchase and I dont think a better machine exists. The third level for silverware is brilliant as are the results of the cleaning on this top tier. The middle "drawer" has the ability to customize the space for glasses, bowls, odd shaped mid sized utensils etc. but is a wee bit challenged by the top tier slide out. The bottom "drawer" laid out for dishes and larger items such as baking dishes, pots, pans, etc. There is no heating element in this machine and that makes a huge benefit with power consumption and destruction of melt-able items.
With very few exceptions I load this machine by pre rinse or scraping large particles and then putting the item in its most obvious location and once the machine is at capacity or whenever you deem necessary choose the appropriate wash cycle, close the door and in the morning, remove the very clean, very shiny, very sanitized items from the machine. The results are astounding! Baked on, dried, week old egg yolk it actually doesn't matter its going to be washed off.
Without the heating element there often is rinse water left on the bottom of bowls having been dammed and not "boiled" away. This is very minor but annoying.
To be fair, I am not aware of any machine that will clean everything in every condition 100% every time. I have had to use a scouring pad of some sort once or twice after being cleaned in a normal or scrubber setting. But the job is so much easier that it is perfectible by this reviewer since the machine is so competent 98% of the time.
As the title indicated I love this machine. It is so very quiet that often if it were not for the red light shining on the floor indicating it is in use, it is difficult to tell the machine is running. The controls are hidden along the top of the door once opened.
In summery, this dishwasher is quiet, accommodating, thorough, green, beautiful, efficient and effective as every dish washer should be.

Doesnt clean well at all!!

This is definitely the worst dishwasher I have ever owned. I was very excited to buy a high end Bosch, but it cleans the dishes terribly. My glasses are covered with residue and so is my non stick cookware. I have tried all brands of dishwasher detergent, rise aid, and dishwasher cleaner. I have also tried loading the dishwasher in various ways and changing the programming to no avail. The fact that the dishwasher doesn't have a drying cycle and leaves my dishes wet is yet another negative. I've had this dishwasher for under three years and its time for as replacement .
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beware poor poor longevity

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my third bosch dishwasher in 8 years. This replaces a unit of the same model that lasted only two years and failed with a broken impeller in the main pump (see photo). It failed out of warranty and the cost of service without any guarantee of repair is too high!
I am submitting a review so I can be entered in the iPad giveaway, but honestly, you should give me a free iPad for all the aggravation!
I tried unsuccessfully to upload a photo of the broken pump.
