Flimsy lock

GE is a major brand in appliances. However, I found the freezer handle to be awkward and inconvenient and the freezer lock to be of poor quality.

Problem making so much ice

This product was purchase to me as Xmas gift. In December 2018. I did install the deep freezer. In mid of March. It is making so much ice. I did lower. The temperature. Still having issues. Upright freezer much better than chest freezer.

Great freezer, but missing a cover on the back where power cord exits (opening is approx. 7” x 8”).

We're glad you are pleased with your choice! Some chest freezers do not come with a rear cover plate where the power cord comes out, even though the case may have holes where screws could go. This is normal and part of the design. A cover plate cannot be added to these models. Thanks for your review! SUEatGEA

Energy efficient, right size

Freezes well, right size for my utility room, energy efficient. Latch does not work once it's achieved freezing temperature. 3 replacements later, (and the 2nd one didn't freeze), I'm done. I just accept that the latch is not going to work. Otherwise, it's a great freezer. I would recommend this freezer but would caution that the latch does not work.

Great Freezer for the Garage!

This is a fantastic freezer! Right-sized for our garage and, at 10.6 feet, is perfect for a small to medium sized family. Very well made, quiet, and appears to be very energy efficient. Although it didn't have built in casters, I made my own full-sized platform and installed ball bearing casters at all four corners to allow me to move the freezer at will.
The freeze appears to recover very quickly when shocking it with a load of unfrozen food being added. If freezers could win a beauty contest then this would be right up there for top honors.
I would recommend this to a friend!
