This chest freezer is the best feature rich, economical, and no-nonsense product of it's kind I have researched yet. I'm well pleased with the appearance and energy star kilo/watt/hour usage rating.

Confusing temperature control

Haven't had this long. Seems to have lots of nice features including a lock, a light, and a drain. The only complaint is the temperature control. The owner's manual talks about setting the control from 1 to 7. Sounds great except the picture and the actual control go from min to max. Is that max temperature or max cold?

Better Energy Savings

This chest freezer uses about 40% less energy than our 14 year old comparably sized freezer. With thicker walls I expect food will stay frozen longer in case of a power outage. There isn't much else to say except it keeps the food frozen well.
