Cools well but seems incomplete

I have had this freezer for one week and it seems like it cools well. I have it set on the middle setting and it is holding at 0-5 F. I have two complaints. First there is a slight ripple in the interior aluminum liner. The second problem is that they got cheap in sealing it up. There is a large open area ( 8in X 8in) on the back that should have a cover. There are holes for screws and the cord has a protective grommet, but no cover. I called GE and they said it does not come with one. I keep this in the garage and I was concerned about something getting in the compressor area. I had to build my own cover. If they are not going to put one one they should route the cord in another way and close it up. Cheap.

I have not had any issues with this freezer so far. There is plenty of room for items for a family of four.

Love this freezer the only thing I don't like is that the 'key' can be useless because of the shape. you can get into it with a alenwrech just as well. Along with the cover for locking mecanisim pops off anytime someone shuts the lid. Love it tho!
