This was a gift replacing a larger model. It is sturdier. thicker walls, and has almost the same actual capacity as the the older model. I trust GE more than the other maker too.

We bought the freezer to be able to buy some foods in a little larger quantity so that we would'not have to shop every two or three days. The freezer set right up and has been running well. It sits in my garage so it's hard to tell how quiet it is but I don't hear it very much standing right next to it. If the rated energy efficiency stands true I'll be very happy.

We bought this 11/28/16 and it was delivered on the first. It holds much more than my upright freezer and is very quiet
