Can't believe I waited this long...

I kept putting off purchasing a freezer, for fear it would take up too much room in my garage. But now, I can't believe I waited this long. This freezer has really helped free up space in the refrigerator freezer, where food doesn't stay very long before it gets that "freezer burnt" taste. Ever since we have purchased this freezer, we have been very happy with the features (especially the light in the hinged top, the ability to lock the lid, three hanging baskets for smaller items, and the power indicator on the front). Now we have the option of buying food in bulk, and having the ability to store it for long periods of time. Saving us a considerable amount of money in spoilage. And since I have a lot of friends who hunt, I am looking forward to taking whatever game they don't have room for as well!
As far as the space taken up, after cleaning out the garage of some unused items, it barely takes up any more space than a standard tool chest. Best purchase this year.

upgraded from upright to chest type

replaced upright back to chest type due to concerns and problems with upright not being dependable and lasting longer than a couple years.

Just installed this freezer and I'm looking forward to lower (much lower!) energy bills compared to my old freezer. The lighting is great and the size is perfect for my garden produce to get me through the winter.
