I bought the freezer in May, I'm so happy I did. The baskets makes it easier for us to take some things out of the freezer. It has a lock which is great. We have a small house so keep our freezer out in the porch. We have a fridge/freezer which is also a GE. We had it for 5 years and it's great. As long as I could remember that's all we ever owned. Even before I started my own family, GE owners for life

Just received my freezer today and so far am very pleased with it. Very quiet, cooled quickly, and roomy enough for our needs, just in time for freezing some of the garden's fresh produce.

We have had this freezer for about 3 months. It's kept outside in our carport. I love the locking feature. It is very sturdy and well made. Has not made an impact on our electric bill. We are very happy with it. Only thing to make it better would be self defrost, but the manual defrost looks like maybe once a year. No ice build up so far!

Simple Machine, Good Price

This is a simple machine that seems to be built well, and for a good price. I only have one issue;thick frost is forming in a couple spots along the top back of the interior. I notice it seems to be close to the hinges, and I wonder if the lid gasket is not properly sealing there? However overall, it is great.

Enormous, tons of capacity!

We were looking for a deep freeze that could fit all of our (extensive) frozen food, and this one definitely fits the bill. Its a bit large in our utility room but we have everything in there with plenty of room to spare. We also really care about energy efficiency, and this thing cycles very infrequently and uses very little power when it is on.
I would recommend this to a friend!
