We got the freezer about two months ago and it's been working great. Our last freezer did not have a light in the door. Amazing what a great feature that is. Didn't think we needed it but it sure helps. Unit is quiet. Once in a while it makes a small crunching noise. We thought it might be a mouse in the wall, but it's just the freezer doing it's job.

To me a sign that the freezer is very efficient is the amount of frost it produces in side. I have had it for nearly two months and there is very little frost inside. It is keeping its zero degree temperature steady.

working great , the only thing is the lid does not line up with lock GE must make the lid the same size as the chest off by a 1/2 in. but works great

This chest freezer replaces a slightly larger GE model we bought some twenty-three years ago--and the only reason that freezer went out, we suspect, was because extreme basement dampness got to it. Anyway, the basement is now dry, and I expect our new GE chest freezer will keep humming (I guess; cannot hear the hum) literally for decades to come.

We bought this a few months ago. No problems with it so far. Fairly quiet sand spacious. Average appearance. Nice that it comes with two racks that sit on top for organizing.
