Works for My Purposes

This is used in my garage as a deep freeze. I also have an upright freezer. While the upright freezer is handy, I've had several times where someone doesn't get it shut all the way and it partially defrosts the whole thing. So I am liking the chest freezer, as it doesn't have this problem. I like that it has a light in the bottom corner that tells you it's on. That gives me peace of mind that my freezer is staying frozen.

Love the size of this freezer. I upgraded from a smaller GE deep freezer. GE is a great brand that I stand by.

Perfect size for a growing family.

I got this to help prepare for a newborn joining my family. It has plenty of space to stock up in food and the sliding baskets are perfect for keeping things organized and together.

Overall good freezer, but...

Before purchasing this freezer, I read many good reviews on multiple sites. I had to special order this, so didn’t have the opportunity to look at it before purchase. Upon delivery, I noticed the power plug exiting a rather large opening in the back (where motor & wire assembly is). Although there are holes machined in to the back for a cover, one is not included on this model for some reason! If you have small pets and/or children, this could potentially be a safety hazard! I do, so rather than trying to return this & buy another, I will keep it, since the features are are really nice,; will have to make a louvered cover for the 6”x8” hole in the back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
