Another WW II Game

The good:
Focuses on the Pacific theater of WW II and gives new perspective to that confrontation
Good graphics compared to previous games
Good sound quality EX. gunshots sound realistic etc.
Faithful representation of guns and effects ex. muzzle flash/explosions
Online coop story mode/zombies
The bad:
Old weapons aren't very appealing
story is very linear
Gives false sense of realism ex. teammates never die/ infinite enemy spawns/enemies always know where you are
online multilayer flaws ex. overpower weapons/spawn killing/glitches
Overall:
Decent graphics + decent game play + decent multilayer = decent game
What's great about it: Uses Cod 4 graphics
What's not so great: Just another WW II game
I would recommend this to a friend!

Modern Warfare's WWII Counterpart

This is my favorite WWII game on consoles. Everything is very well done even if it is built off the Call of Duty 4 blueprint. Co-op is awesome, the campaign is very good with many "Oh Snap this is awesome" moments. The last two levels are the highlight for me. I wish people would stop calling this Call of Duty 5 and getting mad at it being WWII. It's made by Treyarch, not Infinity Ward (the studio that developed Modern Warfare). This game is basically the WWII counterpart to Modern Warfare and is unique as well, mostly due to the time era. Bayonets, gore and attachments on WWII guns are awesome. Oh and attack dogs are a sweet adition. I gave graphics a 4 because better looking games were already out (see MGS4 in true, native 1080p) but this is a beatiful and very well done game, as well as being the game that showed that Treyarch is a competant development studio after all. Oh and one more small point: tanks don't ruin the gameplay, obsessively hardcore players do. I love getting together with a buddy or two and trying to take one down with satchel charges and what not. People who complain just don't like dying after one hit, which makes me wonder why they are playing Call of Duty and not Halo in the first place. Oh sorry, ADD moment. I would recommend this to anyone who likes WWII shooters or good games and I give it 4 stars.
What's great about it: Campaign, Co-op, Multiplayer, Zombies, Weapons.
What's not so great: TANKS (!!!), nah just kidding I like tanks, spawning in the middle of a firefight and dying.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Call of Duty is here and with the 5th installment of the console series they have done it again. Great single player and multiplayer has never been better. this is one of the best out there
What's great about it: if you havent played call of duty before, grab this you'll fall in love. Its one of the best out there. Great multiplaye
What's not so great: too short. shoulda been more

The first person shooting is awesome. But when you play online, its very laggy, and its diffucult to play. The storyline gets boring really fast in some way. Honestly, I think Call of Duty 4 made a bigger hit and was absolutely better.
What's great about it: Great Gameplay, fun to play on Xbox live,
What's not so great: Uses a lot of lag on online gameplay, storyline
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

First I want to say that I am a diehard Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare fan, so that may corrupt my review of this. The campaign for CoD: WaW is good and the controls are the same as Modern Warfare's so they are good. My main problem with it is the online. It just isn't as good as Modern Warfare's. I don't like any of the online maps.
What's great about it: Campaign is good
What's not so great: Online gaming could have been better.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This is a great game but the Story mode is a little short. It would have been nice if the had the Us and Germany fighting but it is a great game over all
What's great about it: Great online
What's not so great: Could use longer story line

The game itself is awesome especially not-z zombies(best buy detects actual name as profanity), unfortunately the majority of people online stick to the mp40 which is a gun that should be considered cheating. if you have friends with xbox get the game if not dont
