Hi, thank you for your feedback, sorry to hear you are unhappy with the Page yield of your HP 564 Black Ink Cartridge. Historically printer manufacturers used their own methods for estimating page yield. However, this made it difficult to compare different products. Nowadays, the published page yield is based on the Industry Standard for measuring yields (refer to International Standards Organization ISO 24711). The actual yield varies considerably based on the content of the printed pages, the frequency of printing, the ink used in set-up etc.You may find that you will get more pages when printing in Fastdraftmode. XL size cartridges offer up to 50% lower cost per page compared with standard size cartridges. Our recommendation would be that you leave your printer powered on in normal usage conditions, only power it down if you will not use it for an extended period of time (ie: longer than one month). I purchased about a half dozen of these cartridges and even with the bare minimum settings using the least amount of ink I barely get 100 Pages worth of printouts. I only print out text and things with rather sparse text to begin with like receipts and personal tax forms. I'm looking for other options because the inkjet system is just too costly and doesn't work as advertised.

After installing the new ink cartridges and the printer went through the setup that it does after installing....the cartridge showed to be at almost half full before printing anything. Disappointed

I always try to use the original equipment accessories for my computer and peripherals. Fewer problems, better results, longer life. Easy to explain as well.
Not happy at all. When I took the orange leavers off , ink went all over. This has never happened before. I bought the 2 pack & it happened on both of them.
