[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased the two pack ink cartridges and placed one into my printer and tried to print a document and nothing happened. My printer was working fine with the prior HP ink that had run out. We cannot figure what's going on. The printer engages as though it's printing but no ink is left on the paper and nothing prints. I'd like my money back!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi,
It is unfortunate that you have had these problems. I realize how frustrating that must be. However, it is likely that it is the printhead inside your printer that is causing this rather than the cartridges themselves.
There is an option on the printer's menu to clean the printhead. That will start the automatic cleaning routine that can clear the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper. It might have to be run more than once if the nozzles are badly clogged, but if that clears them, you should be able to print again.
If repeated cleanings don't clear the tiny nozzles, the printhead should be replaced. Some models do have a printhead you can replace, or it could be sent in for repair.
It is important to always use the power button on the printer itself to turn it off. That will let the printer to 'park' so that the nozzles are protected from excess drying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed two different brand new HP black ink cartridges in my printer and it still won't print black ink. It prints blue ink but no black ink. Money down the drain.

Hello,
My apologies for this happening to you. I understand why you were disappointed with the black cartridges. However, it is a possibility that it is not the cartridge itself at fault.
It could be that the printhead inside the printer is clogged and not letting the ink through properly. A cleaning can help that. There is an option to clean the printhead in the printer's menu.
If that helps, the printer might have been turned off using a power strip or switch. The power button on the printer itself should always be used to turn it off. That will let the printer 'park' so that the printhead is protected from excess drying. That can cause clogs to form in the tiny nozzles that spray the ink onto the paper.
If that does not help and it appears to be a cartridge problem, please contact the HP Store about an exchange. Our return and exchange process is covered, step-by-step, at: store.hp.com/us/en/cv/returnsandexchanges
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is only the second ink cartridge I've had to buy in six months. I do a great deal of work on my printer, and I appreciate every drop of ink that makes my reports look great!
