This was the second HP 564 Black ink cartridge I've snapped open that has spewed and dripped black ink everywhere, on my clothes, my desk, my hands, and my carpet. Keep in mind this is opening it according to the directions! The color ink cartridges for the same Photosmart printer do not leak ink like this. In addition to the permanent stains the black cartridge causes, so much ink is lost in the initial gusher that the cartridge only lasts through about 100 pages -- nowhere near the 250 pages advertised. Here's hoping HP corrects this problem ASAP. If not I'll be looking for a new non-HP printer next time!

the quality is good but cartidges never last as long as suggested by the information. Cost is high for the number of copies abtained from the size of the item

Got One Bad Cartridge

I use the black all the time, but I did get a cartridge that wouldn't work properly. Black wouldn't print most of the time. The ink level said it was full, then half and still had printing problems. I trashed it. The next one was normal.

The quality of all your inks is excellent, but a cartridge lasts only a couple of weeks, so I may look for cheaper stuff.

If you are looking for a cartridge that has a pentagon on the side of the cartridge, this is great. If you need a cartridge that has a circle on the side of the cartridge, this will not work.

On first printing cartridge print o.k. then does downhill from there, by the third page it starts printing light blue then I need a new cartridge.
