Best Camera Ever

Aside from my regular boring 9-5 I dabble in photography shooting anything from Weddings to senior pictures. I also use this camera on photo hunts as well as shooting celestial time lapse photos of the stars. This cameras touch screen and wifi had me sold. I love being able to control my shutter release button from my phone. The 7fps are marvelous when I have a wedding party marching down the aisle quickly. Love this camera I am very happy to have it in my bag!

This is a great camera for taking pictures, if you are considering this camera for videography it is a bad joke. I know by now you have seen all of the commercials and YouTube video's of how great the Autofocus is but it can't overcome the horrible aliasing that is prevalent in this camera. It is so bad I just threw out an entire days worth of shooting football games because I decided it wouldn't be horrible to tape in 60P. 24P looks fine, but if you expect to catch action 24P doesn't cut it. I bought the HFG10 a few ears ago (sold it) due to lackluster performance, I bought the Sx280 and it shoots great video but goes dead after 10 minutes of use due to battery issues, I am throwing my hands up and returning this unit as soon as possible. DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA FOR VIDEO IT WILL NOT LOOK BETTER THAN WHAT YOU HAVE ALREADY, PERIOD. I am satisfied with my 60d and it has better video than the 70d, so what if I have to pull focus manually. Also the battery went dead before a one hour game was over so that is a deal killer also.
Pros: Nice features/settings
Cons: Short battery life, horrible video

I purchased this as an upgrade for my t4i after i started taking photos I noticed that the pictures are not quite in focus. You can't tell on the small screen on the camera that you missed the shot.Apparently these are good for video but NOT stills I had it checked out and all they could say was there is nothing wrong.

Great Camera 70D

Bought the camera about a year ago. By far I've had the best image quality as far as shooting with it. No one and I mean NO ONE should use automatic focus with this camera. And if its your main complaint about it, I believe you shouldn't be shooting with any camera in automatic focus. Use manual, it gives you the ability to capture some of the greatest things the normal eye won't even see. I don't even edit my photos with photoshop. My customers love the quality with the camera and how its used. My only con about it is how heavy it is carrying it around your neck for a certain amount of time, but besides that. Its the best camera I've got for my money.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Heavy/Bulky
I would recommend this to a friend!

Awesome Camera if everything worked... :-(

About 4k shots so far and the image quality is excellent for a camera in this price range. I am extremely disappointed in the quality however as I have apparently received a camera with non-working WiFi. It should be noted that... Cannot shoot video with WiFi enabled (even though the one I got won't connect to anything when it is enabled!) Only one SD card slot - that is just silly No USB 3.0 port No built in GPS
Pros: Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Poor build quality, noisy, Short battery life, wifi not working, cannot shoot video with wifi enabled
