My Best Camera Yet!

This is my second Canon camera, and I am so pleased with both of them, but the 70D especially. It has revolutionized the way I do photoshoots and I don't think I could have bought a better camera for the price. The 19 AF points are so incredibly useful, and the seven frames per second makes it a great camera for shooting sports. For those considering buying this who are unsure due to negative reviews, don't listen to them; this camera is remarkable!
Pros: good battery life, Quick Start-up time, excellent image quality, Superior build quality, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

EOS 70D an AMAZING camera

I have owned EOS 10D, 20d, 5D, 7D. I currently own EOS 1DsmkIII and 70D. The EOS 70D is an exciting camera to own. The autofocus in live view is second to none. Likewise the 10X digital loop has enabled great shots of the moon with an equivalent 2000 mm lens. It lends itself equally to portrait photography, nature photography, action photography. The results are on a par with my 1DsmkIII. I highly recommend this camera.

I love my eos 70D

This camera amazes me daily!!! & I learn something new about this camera daily!!! I am not kidding at all. I owned the 60D & loved it, but the 70D just blows it away!!! The built in wifi is a real gift for ease of sharing pictures, & one of the main reasons I wanted this camera, but I was stunned when I realized that this feature is even more awesome than I thought it would be, & I think Canon should publish this more. I ordered a book so I could learn every single feature the 70D has & just today my husband got the Canon 430EX II flash for me. I have had a Canon SLR for years & I have never been happier with Canon & my EOS 70D!!!

The features I have been waiting for...

This is the camera I have been waiting for to replace my old 20D. I really like the fold out viewfinder, especially for wildflower pictures when you need to shoot down low. I was also holding out for the in camera HDR.
I like the iPhone remote control app, but I wish there was one for the iPad so you could use a bigger screen. You can install the iPhone app on the iPad, but it is still the low resolution, so you really don't get the benefit from the larger screen.
The specs under "Maximum Burst" are a little confusing. If you don't read it carefully you could get the impression that if you shoot Raw + Jpeg it takes 1 GB per picture. That is not my experience. When I upload the pictures, the Raw file is a little under 21 MB, and the Jpeg is a little under 6 MB.
Pros: Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, easy to use

Purchased my 70D when it first came out. I was excited from the start and I'm still excited with it's performance. I've shot nature pics with my long lens without issue, even hand held. Early in ownership I photographed a wedding with fantastic results. My old EF 28-80 was the only thing that gave me trouble at the wedding. I have also used this camera numerous times for work related photo & video documentation with great results.

I was close to switching to another camera manufacturer for a number of obvious reasons. I checked out the 70D the camera rep let me take a few photos with it I went home looked at them on a computer and I was sold. I have not regretted buying it. It is my do everything camera now.

Thank you Canon. I just used my new 70D for the first time this weekend at the Drag races. Best pictures I have ever taken. The action was fast and not one shot out of focus, not even at 7fps. Can not wait to use all the amazing features this camera offers. I'm a long time canon user AE-1,EOS Elan II, Rebel XT, T3i. and now the 70D, I would recommend this camera 100% to anyone that is ready to take the next step.

Just got a EOS 70D replacement for my exhausted and now ancient, EOS 10D. While I knew, being many generations advanced, the 70D would be quite superior to my old camera, I am still greatly impressed with some of those changes. For one thing, I have poor eisight and I really like the new image control selection knob on the top left. The icons are clear enough for me to know what they are at a glance and I really like that it locks with the push button on top. On my old 6.3mp, 10D, I would often change the selection inadvertently. Also with the 10D's 6.3mp sensor, I used to have to carefully compose shots when I took them because cropping was very limited. Now, though I still compose carefully, the 70D's 20mp sensor allows me far more latitude in composition and I miss fewer good shots. The low light performance is excellent too and the higher ISO settings don't get nearly as grainy as my 10D did. The old 10D faithfully took nearly 150K images for me but it is now getting a much deserved rest. The 70D, is a dream machine.
