Have had this camera for 6 months now, hands down best camera in canon lineup based on price. Many powerful options and excellent layout. Produces excellent image quality and is truely a joy to use. Video mode is an added bonus!!

Great camera!

Have had the camera a couple of weeks and used it to shoot son's soccer games. Using the 18-135mm IS STM lens and it did great. Very versatile lens. Camera is easy to use. 7fps burst is great.
Used video as well and it keeps focus on fast-moving players. Wish the display showed how many minutes of video recording available on SD remaining, but that's just my preference.

My first DSLR - Really Nice!

I've been purchasing Canon products for decades now. I just upgraded from a G9, to this DSLR mostly because I just wasn't happy with my low-light shots. This 70D, while certainly not the top of the line - has just a ton of features! It's built well, controls are easy to use, and it really takes great shots! The family is loving it.

3rd Generation Canon Purchase

Just recently purchased the new Canon EOS 70D and this will be my 3rd generation Canon camera (started in 1986 with a Canon AE-1 Program, then EOS Rebel XT in 2005). So far it is everything I expected and more. Incredibly easy to use for novices (family) and advanced features that are right in my area of expertise. Most of my photography is outdoors with a focus on wildlife and after only one month, I am getting some of the best pictures ever and I contribute this to the camera, not me.
Very happy with this camera and highly recommend this to anyone looking for a great versatile camera.

Excellent Upgrade

I had an XSi and a T5i. This is a big step up in the quality of workmanship. The live view focus is amazingly fast and accurate. Ultimately more accurate than the viewfinder. Makes live view shooting and video shooting a real joy. Dual dials make adjustments quick and easy. Ability to customize HDR, multiple exposures, etc. give great control. 7 fps are great. The only thing I'd like to see is giving the white balance its own button. Very happy to recommend this fine camera.

Love my 70D

I just purchased this camera after using my 4Ti. I love being able to use the the EOS remote app with it. I shoot a lot of interiors and this camera is way better than the 4Ti. Very low noise and I love shooting video with the continues focus. Awesome camera all around.
Pros: good battery life, quiet, Nice features/settings, Quick Start-up time, Bright LCD, Solid Operation, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
I would recommend this to a friend!

My One Love

The Canon EOS 70D is absolutely the greatest. It is the first "nice" camera that I can call my own. It is simple when need be and you can adjust things like aperture, and the blur of your background when you want to as well. I highly recommend this to not just photographers, but anybody on any level of skill. BEST CAMERA EVER.

Canon 70D

I am a long time Canon Camera user from the Canon AE1 to the Canon Xsi. I had the Xsi for 9 years and loved it. I thought it was time to upgrade and after a few months I chose the Canon 70D.
I have only had this camera since Christmas 2014 but love it. It takes amazing pictures and is very easy to use. I have not used all the capabilities of this camera yet but am looking forward to learning more each day.
I recommend this camera to all photographers not just Canon users.
