Great freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so glad I brought this freezer a few weeks ago. It's so much bigger than my old one, and it's frost free! So much space to store my frozen foods. I just love it, and the fact that it has a lock too.

Hard To Set At Zero

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had the freezer for a month now, purchased it to replace a Frigidaire that had the same door shelf arrangement which is very convenient. This freezer does not have an external temperature reading and I have had a devil of a time getting it set to zero. When it arrived I left it on the factory setting but after a day it seemed too cold and was running almost continually. I put an older refrigerator thermometer inside and it was reading about 20 below zero, so I bought a new digital thermometer which was easier to read and found that -19 degrees was the actual temperature. It took me 2 weeks and some VERY minor changes to the temperature setting to finally have it settle in at -1.2 degrees when it is not running. Other than that hassle, the freezer is nice. Lots of room and I love the convenience of the door shelves.

Did not last

The freezers was only 5 years old and I had to repair once then the compressor went out and all the coolant leaked. It would cost more to fix it than to buy a new one, different brand of course.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great choice for a new Freezer

We recently purchased a home with solar on the roof. Since our purchase we have become more aware of the appliances in our home and the amount of energy they comsume. We placed an outlet reader on our old freezer and found out it was using so much electricity that we decided to get a new freezer of larger size that would use less electricity. We are very pleased that this freezer sips the electricity now and we have so much room that we were able to purchase 1/2 beef and place it in our new freezed along with what we already had in our old freezer and save even more money by doing this. Very happy with our new freezer.

It keeps food cold but it is EXTREMELY LOUD!!!!

Appears to be a good freezer in keeping things cold but it is EXTREMELY LOUD and none of our previous freezers have been this lod and that is disappointing!!!!

The upright freezer operates at higher pressures during the start of the ON cycle. This is normal. Sound will level off or disappear as appliance continues to run.
