Great freezer for Beekeeping Boxes and Frames

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a beekeeper and purchased this freezer to freeze my frames and boxes, to kill wax moths, beetles, ants, etc that invade and weaken hives. Boxes fit in perfectly with room to spare. The shelves are adjustable and removable in case I want to store different types of boxes (such as nuke boxes). I love the on light, bright inside light, lock, and adjustable temperature control....I put it on coldest for 3 days, then lower it to the least cold for longer term storage. The upright is much easier to manage heavy supers filled with built out frames than the chest type freezers I previously used! I am very happy with this freezer...the only downside is that I have trouble getting the door open!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good freezer for the money, but our old one had more shelves and a sliding basket on the bottom, miss those options.
The door seals tight and keeps out the heat here in Louisiana.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this freezer to replace a small chest freezer. Our space was limited, but we needed a bigger freezer and this one seemed to fit the bill. There is a LOT if space inside with good shelves to organize frozen food. I had a wire basket from my small chest freezer, that fits perfectly on one of the shelves, that I use for ground beef and other hard to stack items. I would say that is the only thing I would have liked to be different, but since I had something that worked, it turned out okay.
The one other issue I had was that after the freezer was delivered and plugged in for 24 hours, I started to put food into it. Every time I opened and closed the door the unit made a very strange sound - if you have ever heard an elk bugle - that was the noise it made! It was annoying, but since the freezer is in our garage, was not a big deal. I did call to be sure there wasn't a problem with it. I was told it was normal. Fortunately after about 4-5 days, the noise has quieted to a hum. We have had this freezer for 4 weeks, so not long enough to know anything about it long term.

Went on sale, price fit into my budget and I was thrilled. Keeps all meats, vegetables, fruits and frozen meals rock hard. Freezes quickly. Shelving allows optimum air circulation and storage placement. Door bins allow quick access and visible storage for fast grabbing of vegetables, fruits, boxed meals and desserts. Absolutely love my new freezer!!

I love the power indicator light on the bottom. I have it in a utility room - I can easily see the bright green light from a distance!
