Less than 2 years after purchasing this microwave it no longer works. A Service Technician who was at my home for an unrelated issue told me that he has made many calls to repair the touch pad on this model microwave. Two months after that conversation low and behold the touch pad went dead. Well the one year warranty has expired so it's on me to stand the cost to repair or replace the touch pad; as of this writing I am unaware of what the cost will be (waiting on the technician to schedule a visit). Not sure if it will be worth it to repair/replace the touch pad knowing that it may fail again. I am sure Samsung is aware of this design flaw, if not they should be speaking to Service Technicians who are raising the flag. I am disappointed! FYI.... the Service Technician said that it's better to purchase models where the touch pad is on the side as apposed to across the bottom as in this model microwave, apparantly steam from the stove below riuns the touch pad.
Pros: looks good
Cons: Did not meet expectations, Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Beautiful design inside and out

Just installed it today and all tests checked out. I'm really pleased with the external look of a single panel running across the front with the buttons on the door rather than to the side. The lighting is brighter than others that I've seen, and the four-speed fan with double filtration system works well in my kitchen that does not have external venting. The interior has the same finish as my oven does, so I know it will be easy to care for.
The only downside of the experience is that the instruction manual included does not exactly match the microwave and some of the features are not explained there.
Pros: unique design

Very low quality product

The internal fan that cools the microwave broke in 1 year and the microwave shuts down if you use it for more than 3 mins. This product is not made for quality, a simple part like a fan breaks in under a year. I don't recommend this microwave from Samsung

Touch buttons don’t work

Absolutely hate this microwave. Just moved into a new house that has this. The touch panel doesn’t not work. You have to try your figures at differabt angles and pressure and still buttons won’t work consistently. Tried to turn the light off and now the stupid thing keeps wanting me to enter a time and weight no matter how many times I try to hit cancel. I’ve even tried flipping the breaker and when it comes back on it does it again. Tried using the timer so it did a different function. After jabbing at multiple numbers the 6 worked so I went with that. Will be shopping for a differant microwave that actually has functional buttons tomorrow. Even tried a stylus for touch screens and still no response. Useless.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great microwave oven, but issues installing in a 50 year old house

I love the the microwave over, but in out 50 year old house the door did not open completely. We have to put a hole in the wall to make the door open completely. The issue was a wall to the left of the over, next to the side the microwave oven door hinges. Once we finish putting the hole in the wall, we will have full ability to open the door as designed.
