Horrible singing by stars, especially Brosnan. Songs don't fit story.
Maybe the live lusical was better, but I doubt it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

this is the best movie ever.great casting meryl streep,my fav actress,amanda seyfriend,she is reallygood,and peirce brosnan,i love him cant wait till it comes out on dvd
What's great about it: best actors and best movie ever!!!!!!!!!

ABBA had some good music but it's wasted here with stars who can't sing (Brosnan is excrutiating). I was shocked that it was this bad.
What's great about it: Good cast (but wasted)
What's not so great: Terrible singing by stars, songs didn't fit
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

AS an ABBA fan, it was fun to have their music put together in such an imaginative way. I enjoyed the locations and the character development. However, some of the plot was a bit far fetched. It was also fun finding Benny and Bjorn in two cameo appearances. If only Frida and Agnetha could have done the same. I would recommend this to anyone having a bad day or just needing an escapist type movie. Meryl Streep and Amanda Seyfried did an amazing job!
What's great about it: A joyful, mood lifting experience! Beautiful Greek locations.
What's not so great: The three x's were just fair singers, Pierce was the worst.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good - not as good as play

I liked the movie. However, I loved the play more. There were some songs that weren't in the movie that was in the play. I saw the play about 6 times. Three times in London, twice in NY and once in Washington.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is a great family movie, it is also amazing for a mother/daughter night.
What's great about it: It is a great family movie, but better yet it is perfect for a mother/daughter.

This film is nothing more than sheer fun and excitement! Reviewers try to tear it apart and can't get past the simple fun it consists of; I think one critic put it best by writing, "it's a vacation." That's exactly what this movie is about; just a little less than a two-hour escape from reality. The film is chalk-full of ABBA songs and if you don't like their music, then do not watch this movie!
What's great about it: The music, Meryl Streep, and the cast.
I would recommend this to a friend!
