Exactly what I wanted for my home office

I purchased this because I don't consistently use a printer and in the past every brand of ink jet printer would exhibit issues with drying out cartridges forcing me to perform cleanings to even print. I also wanted to use the printer on both a Windows and Linux system(s) and have always had good luck having Brother drivers available for Linux. This printer is no exception. I also wanted the ability to duplex print to save paper. Well, this item meets all my requirements and was available at a price point I could afford. Having a copier/scanner and being wireless is just icing on the cake. Never an issue with prints and I even use it via the brother android printing application.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent value for price

It does everything advertised and then some. I especially like the wifi printing capability, so I can be away from the main computer and still print off other hand held devices.

Love Brother printers... but,

I'm having trouble with this one staying online so that I can print wirelessly. The Brother "fix" program corrects the problem, but it's a hassle to have to do it over and over again. Could be a network issue, but my older Brother doesn't have this problem.

Good inexpensive laser with lots of capabilities

Easy installation. Lots of features. The only thing I would change is that it would print on the top surface of paper from the supply tray (to print sequential numbered checks, for example). The printer does print on the top surface of paper inserted in the manual fee slot on the front of the printer.

Three months of use has proven the excellent value and performance of our two DCP-L2540DW printers. Speed, print quality, high capacity toner, and great features make these printers perfect home and office units. These are our first Brother printers and we are fans.
