Love the noise cancelling. I can't travel without them. It's amazing when your headphones ACTUALLY cancel out the noisy engine sounds etc. of the airplane without having to blast your music at full volume :)
Also great when working in Cafe's where there are many people (chattering / coffee / background noise etc.) if you want to focus on what you are doing.
It’s a great product. The noise canceling feature is phenomenal. The only problem is that it won’t work with the new iPhone. You will need to go elsewhere and get a dongle. Such a hassle when you pay as much as you do for a product. Especially when it says it will work with iPhone devices.
I bought my first QC20 nearly 7 years ago, and have used them since on countless, long international flights. They are still in perfect condition, so I don't know where the complaints about durability come from. Just bought a new v2 (with the blue piping) a month ago, and they seem as good as always. However the cables are more rubbery and therefore seem more durable. Absolutely wonderful product.
I have owned my QC20 headphones for 3 years, and they are starting to fall apart. The wire is now exposed in headset and the rubber coating has mostly peeled off the main unit. So the question is whether 25 cents a day is worth it for great sound? The sound is still excellent, and I use the headphones daily at my desk as I sit in an open office. They are also great on planes when I travel. I had previously owned a couple of pairs of the on-ear noise cancelling headphones. I prefer the in-ear buds as I find them more comfortable to wear over a long period of time. I am now contemplating whether to buy another pair, as I have found in the past that once the wires started to deteriorate, it gets worse fast. I prefer the jack to bluetooth as I use with several devices, but if I upgrade my iPhone I will no longer have a jack. I will probably get another pair, but I do wish they would last longer.
I have a severe case of Misophonia and my wife bought me a pair of these last year. It's helped me step out from the seclusion that's been forced upon me. My wife and I can eat at the same table again. Long flights are much more tolerable, especially when people are eating or drinking next to me. Noises in my apartment and hotel can be cancelled out (for the most part). I highly recommend getting a pair of these if you suffer from this condition.
I love these headphones. 16 hours of battery life and when the battery dies you can still listen without the noise canceling feature. So you are never without sound. Worth every penny.
I initially bought these headphones for traveling - I recently started wearing them at night because my significant other snores loudly. I sleep like a baby with them in and I’m no longer woken up by his obnoxiously loud snores!
