Fragile cable

I like this premium ear buds and since I bought this in 2014 this is essential for trans-Pacific travels, which QC20 had made comfortable with great cancelling of white noise during the flights and long battery life. BUT, the cable connection to both sides of the unit is too fragile. I am keeping it working by putting tapes after starting to have this issue 1.5 yrs later, but this is really ugly for a piece costing a few hundred bucks. Also the rubber cover for the unit is also torn, which is ok without affecting function. But this cable issue is really annoying and make it a piece of junk if I put take not at a right angle. This must improved with a newer version and hopefully Bose offers replacing this poorly functioning unit with a new one.
I love my QC20. I never go anywhere without it! Noise cancellation is amazing and sound quality is always good. However, I am in my 3rd pair in and I’ve faced problems with white noise with noise cancellation on around a year in with each pair. My biggest issue is with the tops. They easily slip off the earphones and get lost quite fast! The replacement aren’t exactly reasonably priced either!
I travel for a living, and i've had these headphones for about 3 years now. I'm continually impressed with the longevity of these headphones. Best part about the headphones are their compact size. I can easily pack them away on a carry on, and they barely take up any space at all. Also, I prefer these to the wireless ones because I use them when I sleep. There is no around-the-neck device to contend with, and, surprisingly enough, I can sleep on my side with these in place without issue.
I live on a loud, busy road and had trouble sleeping for months before discovering these. I am not exaggerating when I say they have changed my life. As a light sleeper, I no longer have to stress about trying to fall and stay asleep. These make travel so much easier as well; I don’t have to be particular about being in quiet hotels/hotel rooms. I was so impressed, I buy these as gifts for everyone.
I've had my QC in-ear headphones for about three years now and I use them several times a week during my public transit commute, and four or five times a month while on an airplane. I used to have the over-the-ear noise canceling headphones, but besides being big and bulky, they also made my ears hurt on long flights. Not so with these little buds. The noise cancelling and the sound quality is PHENOMENAL! Even on that flight when surrounded with three crying infants, the noise was blocked out and I was completely zen. After heavy usage over the last three years, I'm starting to hear a bit of crackling and it's about time to replace them with another pair of QC headphones. I highly recommend these earphones for people who fly a lot or who commute by public transit -- they make the world a better place!
Now that there are volume control buttons, I can no longer use this on both my iPod nano and my Android phone. This all worked well on the earlier model, which is no longer available.
I have a pair of these earbuds (not really mine, my dad got them from my uncle) and I have started to use them daily in school and they're phenomenal. The sound canceling aspect of this pair is what makes them unique because, since they're earbuds, they can easily fit in your pockets and usually the only things that can cancel sound are headphones which aren't the easiest to put into a pant/shorts pocket. The only thing that I think should be changed is that, when the noise of an area that you're in gets to a certain level, and you have the noise canceling on, you can hear it.
