best "Buds" ever!

I had them for about 18 months. My daughter and I were on a flight together last month. She loved them so much that she will not give them back. I am about to order another pair as soon as I post this review.

Exceptional sound quality - but mic broke

I purchased my BOSE QC 20 noise canceling ear-phones for Android devices 2.5 years ago. They have an exceptional sound quality and per all accounts do absolutely cut out background noise to a very large extent, such as on an airplane. Even more so than the Bose noise canceling over-the-head headphones! However, I went on a walk here in Texas the other day and must have sweated on the microphone...and now the microphone has completely stopped working. And I'm pretty sure the noise canceling does not work now as well. It does not seem to cut out background vacuum cleaner noise any more. So I'd recommend this product as long as you will not be performing any sort of heated activity while wearing them. I'd love to get a new pair, but now that I know they just outlive the warranty by a factor of 2, I can't justify the expense personally.

The best I've ever had.

I love to spend money on electronic gadgets and even more so when they actually live up to the expectation as these do. I've been using the Bose in ear for years now and couldn't be happier. They are the most comfortable I have ever worn, ever! They fit so well into the ear that you feel little or no pressure while wearing them, and if you're like me and wear them while falling asleep that's a good thing. They fit so flush with the ears that unlike all the other earbuds out there the pillow doesn't jam these into your ear. The sound is so crisp and clean, the highs and lows are great. I just can't get over how well the noise cancelling is on these, it drowns out road trips, flights, inane chatter from the people around you, just an overall wonderful product. Another plus is these seem to hold up rather well, and I'm always a rough person on things, I've had my pair since they were released.

Love these Earbuds!

I received these earbuds through the Bose sample program a short time ago and I cannot get over the quality and sound of these earbuds. Out of the box they feel durable and beefy with a slightly thicker cord and an added noise canceling component near the plug end. At first I second guessed Bose if it was needed once the noise canceling feature was turned on but what I quickly realized was how great of a feature this is to be able turn on/off noise canceling. I found while making phone calls that I had to turn the noise canceling feature off, it was somewhat distracting to have to think about what I was saying with the noise canceling feature turned on. On or off the sound quality is dynamite and you almost forget the noise canceling component is even built into the wire.
I've been wearing these earbuds at home, work, and at the gym and as expected the silicon ear tips keep the earbuds secure and sounding great. I still amazes me how comfortable the silicon tips are, I can keep these earbuds all day. Thanks again Bose for another dynamite product.

QuietComfort 20 Another Homerun from Bose!

I received a pair if noise cancelling in ear headphones a week ago and have been using them in a variety of situations. During phone calls I appreciate the ability to hear conversations clearly without surrounding noise interference. This also holds true during my visits to the gym. Whether I am using equipment or just walking/jogging the track, I can focus on my workout and not be distracted by the music issuing from their speakers or the ever-present dropping of weight equipment that can be jarring to say the least. Most importantly, however, is the clarity of my music. I admit that I was unsure if these in ear headphones would prove to be as effective as my Bose surround ear quiet comfort headphones. Thus far, I am quite satisfied. My ultimate test will be on my next airplane trip. That is when noise cancelling, for me, is paramount.
I just have a few design comments. First, the battery pack/noise cancelling component is awkward when exercising. A clip of some sort would assist in preventing movement while I am "in motion". Additionally, I often just access the noise cancelling feature when traveling without attaching to any device. Thus a means to detach the device connecting cable similar to my surround ear Bose headphones, would be beneficial.
Nevertheless, I will continue to use these earphones and am grateful to Bose's commitment to quality of design and function.

Really good sound but very poor durability.

The headphones sound great and the noise-cancelling factor is really awesome but the durability of the headphones is very poor. The buttons randomly stopped working so I couldn't use the headphones with my IPhone any longer. Then a week ago one of the ear buds decided to stop working on me. I'm very upset with the amount of money I spent on these headphones only to then have them stop working for me. :(

Noise cancellation starts humming after 20 months

I have the QC20i. They were great for almost 2 years. 3 years on, I'm now researching options to buy a replacement and came across reviews echoing my experience.
Originally I was concerned about how many times the battery could be recharged before it would hold less than a couple of hours use - particularly as you cannot replace the battery. That hasn't been a problem.
The problem for me, which raised it's head around the 2 year mark, was that the headphones started to hum when noise cancellation was on. A slight hum to begin with, then worse. So bad I only use these as regular earphones now.
Given the price, I've been reluctant to simply get another pair ... but I really miss the noise cancellation feature. If they came with a 3 year warranty (the kind of warranty I expect from premium suppliers) ... I'd buy another pair without hesitation - but the thought of having to replace them less than 2 years from now really puts me off.

Purchased the Headphones in April of 2015. Using them at the office to listen to podcasts and music. Sound and Noise Cancelling is great. Very crisp sound when the on switch is turned on. Only disappointing thing is the adhesive used to hold the two parts of the earbud together came apart.
