Awesome noise cancelling power
on June 21, 2018

I bought these almost a month ago. I have been very happy with them in regards to noise cancelling power. I am a truck driver and there is lots of noise the cab and sleeper so using these earbuds really helps cut down noise levels. I even use them sleeping while in the truck. I have been sleeping a whole lot better as a result. I clip it to my shirt collar then run the wire down inside my shirt and put the battery end in my pocket.
There are cons. First of all, I do not like 90 degree plug, I wish they made it with a straight plug. Secondly, the audio quality for calls on other end is poor. People often complain they cannot hear me, there too much background noise or I sound like I am talking through a tunnel. This only seems to be when I am in a noisy environment.
I gave 3 stars on ease of use because it's hard to tell which bud is right or left. Would be nice I'd they were colored or marked differently. Secondly, the cord has a sticky silicone feel to it which makes it a little hard to untangle the wire. If the wire had a more silky smooth feel, the wire would be much easier to untangle and it would not hang up so much on my clothes.

Great Sound & Noise Cancelling - Terrible Material
on June 3, 2018

At this price point, I would expect Bose would offer housing and cable material quality equal to the sound and noise cancelling quality delivered. After about a year, the cable hytrel came apart/detached at all stress points near the housing and at the jack, as well as the rubber casing cover came off of the case. The sound began suffering because the wires are exposed at ALL stress points. Bose should reinforce the stress points as is now common with many cables to reduce the stress and damage to cables at angles. I REALLY liked these before they started falling apart. I don't know if there is another brand that offers the same level of sound quality and noise cancelling so I'm on the fence about another pair of these. You will be pleased with the sound and noise cancelling but hands down disappointed with the product materials.

Great Headset for plains but they won't last long

I bought my QC 20 for travel. I fly about 120-140K miles a year. I loved them for the inflight movies as well as plugging them into my tablets (Both Kindle and iPad). Yes they have a wire but that is what you need for a plane. The sound is great and the cancelation is wonderful and the fit is great too. Battery life is an issue with all head phones.
However, after about 2-3 years they one of the earbuds started to come apart and a sharp sound would come out of one of the ear buds. I've tried another wireless brand and it has not been good. What I would love to see is a wireless set with a backup wire for flying then I would buy another set from Bose today. Until then I remain torn been the QC 30 and the QC 20.

Great sounding headphones, but awful durability
on May 31, 2018

These headphones sound great and cancel noise well, but they are awful from a durability standpoint. I've gone through 3, soon to be 4 pairs, in the last 4 years. The connections areas of the wires to the battery pack area damage easily from being put in your pockets.
These are my daily headphones in NYC. I wear them while I commute, as well as while I work and listen to music. Needless to say, they get a lot of use. However, I always buy the SquareTrade protection plan because of how bad the durability is. For the price and how Bose markets these as your daily grind/commuter headphone, these should hold up for more than a year.

Best fit for my needs

I am getting ready to buy my third set of these, and it's because I use them so much I wear them out. Both previous sets lasted over a year and I wear them every single day, for up to 8 hours a day. The quality is unbeatable, and I put them through the gamut of hard use out on my farm. I live in an extremely quiet country setting, so when I don't want to use noise cancellation, I can turn it off and hear pure silence in the background, unlike the noisy wind sound that comes with the wireless set when you turn off noise cancellation (I had to return those). When I travel, the noise cancellation is unbeatable for helping me sleep on overnight flights, and the batteries have lasted on 14-hour flights. When I'm at home I use my Bose earbuds for hearing protection when I'm running the gas-powered weed eater or the lawnmower, and I binge podcasts, get the latest news, and tear through novels while getting work done.
A down side is the wire, which catches on everything.
I can't recommend them enough other than to say that each time I accidentally destroy them or wear them out, I count the days till I get the new ones. Worth every cent.

What annoyingly loud people on my flight???
on May 10, 2018

Flew recently with these on numerous flights. Barely hear the din of the in flight noises. If you want to hear the noise, just switch the little button on the battery case. We landed and my sister commented on a group of loud partying guys on our flight, I never heard them until we landed and I took my earphones out and they were truly loud. Earpieces are very self, comfortable. Unfortunately, the silicone is very soft and I tore one of the little parts removing one size and changing to another. Just be careful because they are a little delicate.
Basically after my sister tried mine, she pretty bought some for herself and loves them. She got the cordless ones and says they are amazing compared to her previous ones that she THOUGHT were noise cancelling.

Love it!!!

It really helps whenever I travel. It’s easy to pack and I can use it when I watch a movie in the plane, then I accidentally kicked it when I raised my leg up, bending the tip. So I called Bose and they gave me a brand new replacement! I just love the sound and I love using it! All my speakers, PA system, home theatre system, etc. are all Bose.
