Best noise cancelling headphones available!

Pros:
- Terrific noise cancellation. I also own Beats as well as the over-the-ear Bose Noise Cancelling headphones, and these do a noticeably better job blocking out noise.
- Enhanced sound quality. I have owned the Bose over-the-ear model for many years, and nothing I’ve tired matches the deep base and crystal clear mids thru highs on those headphones. These are the first headphones I’ve used that offer that same high level of sound performance. My $400 pair of Beats headphones don’t come even close to these.
- The cable stays untangled. Somehow the cable stays untangled and straight when I pull them out to use, which I love. The cable is made out of a very nice rubberized material, and they are slightly thicker than normal, which must help them stay untangled somehow.
- Built-in, rechargeable, long lasting battery. I’ve owned these headphones for a week and I’ve not charged them once so far. They also recharge via a standard USB cable, which is great.
- Amazingly comfortable. These headphones are vastly more comfortable than any other noise cancelling headphones that I’ve tried. The only headphone that meet this level of comfort are the regular, non-cancelling, Bose earbuds. Bose clearly has perfected in ear comfort over the years and they simply brought that design over to these.
- They still work when the battery is exhausted. When the battery is turned off, they still work like regular Bose headphones. This is really great if you happen to run out of battery power half way through your fight, which has happened to me in the past. With other models of noise cancelling headphones I’ve tried, once your battery runs out, they are totally useless.
Cons:
- The built-in battery adds a little bulk compared to regular earbuds. Apparently it’s not technically possible to have noise cancelling headphones without a supplemental power source, so I don't think this is avoidable. The added bulk, which is roughly the size of a lighter, has not been a problem at all for me. But it certainly would be amazing if they could be fully powered by my iPhone or laptop.
Summary:
- The QuietComfort 20 noise cancelling headphones are the best noise cancelling headphones I've ever owned. In particular, I wasn’t expecting the noise cancelling performance to be better than my Bose over-the-ear headphones, but they are in fact noticeably better when I compare them side to side. The sound quality is also top notch, as you would expect from Bose. When you add in the amazing comfort they offer, this is a no brainer purchase if you are considering a noise cancelling headphone.

An amazing product BUT!!

The headphones are superb in terms of noise canceling noise and sound depth, the amount of bass it provide is unbelievable. My only issue with it is when I use it in transportation and the windows are opened and also when closing the bus's door, i get a feeling that my ears are going to explode because of the pressure. So i have to deactivate the cancelation till I insure that the environment is securely locked. Other than this issue I definitly recommend them.

SPEACHLESS

Amazing :o)
You turn the power on, wear it and it becomes perfectly quiet. Almost no noise.
Example: I am working in an engineering departement. With the surronding noises at work, I have to put the volume of Windows Media Player at ± 15 if the power of my Bose is off. When I turn it on, I can lower the volume at ± 5. It means that I can listen the music for a much longer period of time without damage to my ears!

I've tried all of the others

I just recently purchased these because I have tried them all and found that there is nothing like the QC20. I already have the QC25 but they are bulky packing for travel. By far the best sounding over the ear headphone that I have ever taken on an airplane. I do a ton of traveling and the QC20 is much more compact without compromising the sound an noise cancelling. I would recommend these to anybody that requires quality sound over price like I do. You are in for a real surprise!

Silence is golden!

Finally! A pair of earphones that stay in my ears and have great sound, oh, and not to mention they are extremely comfortable for long hours. When working out, cleaning, working or simply relaxing I don’t have to constantly adjust them; no ear aches either.
The noise cancellation is very good with extremely good battery life! I went for a few runs outside during prime traffic hours (don’t worry the sidewalk and highway are separated by trees, so I don’t have to be on high alert.). Five minutes into my run I turned on noise cancellation and was amazed how the busy world around me came to an abrupt end. Noise cancellation really focuses you into whatever task you’re doing. It’s just you, your music and your task. I even enjoyed noise cancellation without the music, despite the slight hiss you hear when music isn’t playing. Noise cancellation is so enjoyable I now can’t go to work without these earphones. Sometimes at work I sit right next to a portable A/C unit so all day I hear constant blowing. I never realized I heard that blowing until I shut on noise cancellation and voila, it was gone.
Now everything isn’t perfect with these earphones. My only complaint is the battery unit. It tends to get in the way. Especially, when taking your phone in and out of your pocket. My fear is that with time the battery and cord will develop a shortage from the constant pulling and bending you take it through. Also, when I put my phone into my workout sleeve I have to take an extra few minutes to organize my phone and battery into the sleeve. This gives me the impression that Bose didn’t design these earphones for a lot of moving activity. You may want to consider an alternative if you’re really active and sweat a lot. If you don’t mind the being a little careful then you should be ok.
Overall, I highly recommend these earphones. I don’t find them to be overhyped even with the steep pricing point. You definitely get what you pay for!
P.S. Just as I was about to hit 'enter' and then my earphones started to have shortage.

I just bought these because I now lawns at work and trying to drown out the sound of the commercial mowers was starting to hurt my ears after a long day but after I bought these, I couldn't be more impressed with the noise cancellation I can't even hear the loud mower anymore, which I turn I can keep my music at a lower volume without hurting my ears. No matter what environment you're in you won't hear anything definitely worth the money.

I brought this product about a year ago. These are the best in-ear headphones I have ever owned. The noise canceling ability is by far the best I ever had. I had a problem with the right ear piece the other day. I would hear a loud squeal every time I put them in noise canceling mode. I took them back to the store and in five minutes I was walking out with a brand new pair. These headphones are great but BOSE customer service is the reason that I by original BOSE products.
