Great for travel but falls apart

These are great headphones but they need to come out with a more durable cable. I have had to replace the headphones due to the cable becoming loose and cracking near the battery box.

Lots of improvements need to be done
on September 7, 2015

Pros:
Perfect size for traveling & universal USB charger
Fast charging time & moderate operating time (2 hours of charge=16 hours of operation)
Best choice to use in hot environment (summertime, confined space with no AC unit)
Cons:
Constant white noise (similar to your radio on an unoccupied frequency)
fragile (remember how fragile QC15 was? QC 20 does exactly that)
Limited useability (I use ipod and an Android cellphone at the same time, no good)
Should you wish to purchase it, be aware that this unit will not isolate your hearing ability from the world like QC25 does. This means you better use it to play musics or airline travel instead of helping you focus on work/study.
The QC20 is not good in its current state but it has potential. I really hope Bose can do some improvements over its white noise and unit integrity like what the awesome upgrade they did on QC25.

Great sound. Bad design, crazy expensive.

I purchased these a year back and I will say that the sound is excellent and the buds are extremly comfortable, however these have two significant design flaws. The first is the noise cancelling block on the bottom of the headset is relatively heavy so it causes the cable to crack where it enters the plug. The second and more irritating issue is the fact that the plug seems to become loose from the phone as a result of the weight of the noise cancelling box and constantly falls out of the connector on the phone. This is a significant issue on the iPhone with the heatset jack at the bottom of the phone. I would not purchase again until they resolve the design issues.

Great sound. Wire frays quickly.

Received these as a Christmas gift and was very pleased with the sound quality and fit. Noise canceling works well and sound is clear from the low-end to the highs.
Obviously, the noise canceling feature requires frequent charging, which is one of the major down sides to these headphones. But, the most disappointing aspect was definitely the weak construction of the headphone wire, which broke down and frayed within 15 months of purchase, causing the audio to die completely.
If you're someone who moves your phone in and out of your pocket frequently or works out in your headphones, then you'd better pull the cord out of your phone jack and straighten the cord each time you take your phone out of your pocket, or prepare for your wire to fray quickly and the headphones to break within the first 2 years.

Love the QC20!

All I can say is I hope Bose keeps these around forever. If these went bad or I lost them, I'd buy another pair... that's how good they are. Basically I wouldn't want to go without them. I do worry about that small piece of cable from the battery to device and the battery life but I guess I will deal with that. What I love is the versitality. They are small and lightweight, awesome for travel. And the best part is I can tune out all outside conversation at the office even without using the noise cancelling! And they still sound good. They are expensive for sure, probably too much but I can't imagine not having them now. They are so good... if I knew Bose was going to discontinue (which I hope they don't because you need wired version for airplane entertainment which the wireless can't do) I would buy a spare. Wish I would have invested sooner. Good stuff.

Great noise cancelling headphone

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Before having this I used QC25 which is also great. But QC20 provides even better noise cancelling and convenience for carrying around. Further the internal battery is great feature as I kind of get tired of replacing battery around. Like other Bose products, the design is made for real comfort indeed. Regarding the sound, impeccable. After changing earphone quite frequently, I think this is the one that I would definite stop at and keep using because it never get me tired or bordered. Perfect if I have to choose a word to conclude.

High quality noise canceling ear buds/microphone
on July 2, 2016
Posted by: Chris
Cost equates to quality in this case. The ear buds are extremely comfortable and the sound quality is second to none. I travel a lot for work and am constantly on the phone. I have the ear buds in close to 9hrs a day 5 to 6 days a week. The noise canceling feature is great in flight or when background noise may interfere with a conversation. After 55+ days of co continuous use over the course of a year the ear buds are still performing like they're brand new.
