Best for air. issues w/ durability/reliability

Overall I love these headphones, but the quality and durability of these headphones is an issue. I am almost 2 years in with these headphones and there are some build quality issues. 1. The battery has expanded on the ends to the point where the foil covers of the battery pack on top and bottom are busting off 2. The buttons on the in-line wire lose their sensitivity (and I am not a hard button pusher)
Apart from these issues, these are Wondeful. I could not fly as much as i do without them.

Hello jofo,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We can't imagine travelling without noise cancelling ear buds either.
We are concerned about the durability issues you have cited. As your comments are atypical we'd like to learn more and have reached out to you via e-mail to offer help. For speedier assistance, please feel free to contact our technical support team at 1-800-379-2073. Support hours are Monday - Friday 9:00AM to 9:00PM and Saturdays from 9:00AM to 7:00PM EST.
I love long road trips on the bike. Now I don't have to listen to drone of an exhaust any more than I want to. I'm able to mute out a 115 decibel motorcycle with these. Most importantly the aware mode allows the ability to hear what's going on when riding in the city. Very happy with the investment!
I mainly use these earbuds at work/office (open landscape) and they filter out most of the background noises quite effectively. It lack the ability to change volume up and down, but I jack into an Astro MixAmp (with volume control) so no problem for me there, but might be a problem for some?
There is also a weak buzzing sound while charging, this might be my laptop with unclean power on the USB buss. Have not checked with other devices.
A feature that I would like to have is a battery indicator, or at least be able to check battery status while connected via USB to a computer.
The sound quality is far from good for music, so I use another product for this. The noise canceling effect is very good and is well worth the cost of this product.
I walk a lot on noisy streets and these earbuds really cancel the noise, with other earbuds I am unable to listen to audio books but the sound is perfect with my Bose buds.
I am a frequent flyer. I put these to the test of 170,000 miles last year and they passed on every one.
1) Great to keep your hands free while you're walking through the airport. You can handle phone calls and listen to music without needed to pull your phone out of your pocket. Side note, you also don't look as crazy talking into them as you do with a bluetooth headset.
2) Excellent noise cancelling. Once you're on the plane, it mutes the sound of unwanted noise from the engine hum or loud passengers (I'm talking about wailing kids mostly, parents I feel your pain). Keep in mind if you're listening on your phone or personal device you won't hear a thing the Pilot or flight attendants say to you.
3) Perfect for sleeping. Since they're so small and ridiculously comfortable, you can sleep with them in your ears and forget they're there. I have the Bose QC 15s and my biggest complaint was not being able to sleep with them. As soon as I turned my head or rolled over, the headphones would come off and the change in audio levels would wake me up. With the QC20s their small nature works so well when you're on the move, or trying to get some shut eye on a flight.
Having said all that, I've been pleasantly surprised over the past year with my QC 20s. I use them almost exclusively every day, and have to say they have completely replaced my QC 15s.
My all-time favorite headphones. I like an earbud and find these really comfortable. I can mow the lawn, be on a plane, listen to a different movie, etc. all without hearing a thing. I'm just hoping that they prove to pay for themselves eventually when I'm 75 and hopefully still hearing because I bought these instead of turning up the volume like before with my other headphones. I just wish they were in a price range that I could give as a more feasible gift or be able to more easily afford a new pair. But I also understand that Bose sound and Bose price go together. And the sound on these is true to the Bose name. It's fantastic quality sound, clear base, no muffling, great volume. I encourage you to try these great, albeit expensive, headphones.
