I have gone through 3 pairs in 4 years, they all have had the exact same issue. The volume button no longer works. Good sound for the short time they work.

Exceeded my expectations

Purchased the Acoustic Noise Cancelling earbuds about 5 months ago and have used them on two international trips. Obviously, they are not cheap. But, I wanted a good quality earbud with the noise cancelling feature. I'm not a techie, so on my first trip I didn't realize that I had not used the noise cancelling feature. After that trip I wondered if I had made the wrong decision since I didn't notice much difference between these earbuds and the others I own. On my next trip, the experience was totally different. I already liked the overall quality of the buds, but once I turned on the noise cancellation feature it really made a huge difference. I was very impressed with the buds and very happy that I had purchased them. They are portable (easily carried in a shirt pocket), provide excellent sound, and the noise cancellation feature is also excellent. Just read the instructions before using them.

Great sound but really bad workmanship

I have two pairs of these purchased in three years. The first pair fell apart. First to go was the clip then the volume contril buttons fell off. Too bad, these have great bose sound and are the most coomfortable ear phones Ive ever had, (Ive tried iphone, samsung, Phillips, etc..) no exception but lousy construction. Too fragile for everday use.

i bought my headphone loving bose products i have 4 of their products these are the ones that i am the most disappointed with. i keep them in a case when not in use and love the way they sound its just the quality. the white and black rubber in the wire is falling apart exposing the wire. for headphones you buy for the price it is disappointing that i cant even get more time of use. for the price i would have loved to get more than 2 years without them falling apart.

QC20's - Great for travel!

This review covers my 3rd set of QC20's. I fly with some regularity and flipping the switch on the battery pack activating the noise cancelling makes me smile every time. I also have the over the ear headphones from Bose, years old, that have been relegated to my girls. The comfort of these in-ear headphones is incredible. The over the ear headphones will eventually become painful to wear, and I suppose these do too, but many hours later. If on an 8 hr flight, I might remove them to eat or to use the bathroom, then they feel fine again. Circulation maybe? They come with 3 different sizes of earpiece, to make sure you get a good fit. I wish the battery were smaller, but I like the fact that it lasts all day. I listen to music and audiobooks. The sounds fits my preference...I am from the 80's and love rock and roll, and the sound fills your head without crushing your ears. Just try them! I am careful with mine...if you are not, you may run into durability problems.

Great investment

Great sound; the best noise cancelling ear buds ever - one of the best purchases I have ever made - use them almost daily!
They are so good I recently bought a 2nd pair just in case..

Great sound and fit. Poor quality build

On the average, it needs replacement every few months, I am on 4th replacement, and now the Aware Button just broke again, this time in the span of just about 2 months. Playing around with the cable position has shown that it's likely due to bad cable join within the battery/control compartment. Bose warranty is amazing, but the inconvenience of making a trip to have it replaced, and knowing that your 300USD only last as long as a year(Warranty coverage), it's rather an expensive investment for what it is.
High-pitch sound likely due to sweat/moisture build up, once dried should be fine, which indicates that this headset is not build for high humidity area like tropical Asia(where I am at) or summer time.
Having a good customer support and warranty replacement is amazing, but having the product replaced/exchange every few month only show poor quality build.
This product has the best sound in its class, now that Bose released version 2 of this product, I am not sure will it improve(Aware Button) but I will only hope they replace my current faulty Aware Button(again and again) with version 2.
