Horrible Horrible Horrible EXPENSIVE Product!!!!!

I purchased the QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones Samsung edition approximately 3 days ago and I must say that I am truly disappointed. The headphones themselves look appealing but the sound quality is horrible. I would like the reader to keep in mind that I have an older pair of Bose earbud that are AMAZING and still work good as new so quite naturally anyone who have the old will compare them to the new (Picture Attached). I did just that and I am here to say that the old is much better.
QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling headphones have a very weak sound normally with any Bose product you will be able to hear sounds you wouldn't normally hear for example someone taking a deep breath in the background or the music would be more define but again not with this pair of earbuds. I am most disappointed with the popping noise that come from these earbuds when the volume is turned all the way up and the noise cancelling feature is turn on. Speaking of noise cancelling feature it is not something that is worth bragging about, yes it is good for when I travel and I am unable to hear plane engines, but again this feature is nothing to brag about what so ever. This was unexpected because again I have an older pair of earbuds and even though I rarely turn them up full volume I could if I wanted withouth hearing the annoying popping sounds from these earbuds. The StayHear ear cushions are not as good and they tend to move out of place in your ear if you are an active person which make the name a little deceitful. One thing I do like about this product is the reachable battery this is quite convenient because it is long lasting.
I do hate that I have to write such a horrible review but I have been a long time customer of Bose from the home entertainment center, to the car radio system, and of course the personal headset and this product was something that I must say long time customers such as myself did not appreciate. I know people who have similar feelings as I do have state that earbuds that cost this amount should sounds much better and I agree, I also believe that the amount of money spent would not matter if the product was of great quality or even good quality, however I do have buyers remorse!!!!! I would advise anyone who is considering purchasing this item to THOROUGLY shop around, compare headset, read reviews, and diligently research the product before committing to purchasing this pair.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We appreciate the feedback, especially from a long time customer such as yourself. The experience that you have had with the QuietComfort 20 headphones is not a typical one and we would definitely like to help you with that.

You should be getting plenty of volume from those headphones without a popping sound at any volume level and the noise-canceling should also be working better than described. One thing to make sure of is that the StayHear tips are clean and that free of debris, and that the metal tip on the headphone connector is clean. Wiping it with a clean cloth and isopropyl alcohol may help.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These headphones seemed too expensive when I first bought them. I was really questioning spending that much money on headphones that could break and make me regret the decision. But, it's been four years since I bought them and by simply caring for them as any person would and not doing anything stupid with them, they've exceeded my expectations. Truthfully, if you are anywhere where you just want to be in your own space, turn them on and play your music or podcast or audiobook and you're in your own world.
My only semi complaint is the noise cancelling battery itself. Don't get me wrong, it's totally worth it but at times it can be annoying.

Sound cancellation stopped working after 1 day!!!

Bought these headphones after doing some research and checking out a lot of reviews. Seemed like most people praise them pretty highly so I took the plunge and bought these even though they're a bit pricey. Received my earphones and was eager to try them out the first evening I got them. Was super impressed with the sound cancellation function and used them for about 4 hours the first day I got them and was really happy. Then the next day I put them on to listen to some music while I worked at the computer and I started getting terrible popping and static coming from the left earbud whenever the sound cancellation was activated. Thought it might be a bad connection, but no. Tested it plugged into my computer, phone, hand held game console, and even unplugged. Same issue, terrible popping and static no matter what whenever the sound cancellation is activated. This is the worst experience I've had with such an expensive product in a long time. Did not expect this from Bose.

Excellent product and noise canceling.

I bought this product Dec 2014, the warranty is over. the cord is beginning to deteriorate. I need a replacement. I should put a a velcro but it's too late. I love the sound and the noise canceling. With the price I paid, I need a replacement. attached is the photo with an electrical tape. I need help with this issue. I put 4 star only because of this issue. This the best sound I purchased, no other product can bit QC20 and use it everyday.

First time I ever slept on a plane !!

After 15 years of almost weekly flying, and never being able to sleep for more than 10 minutes at a time while flying, the noise canceling makes sleeping possible for hours.
And in a lie flat seat, on my side with just one in my ear, I'm out !! Besides being able to cancel out loud announcements and loud fellow passengers, they have excellent sound quality. Nothing close, and worth every dollar, I'll never travel again without them. BUY

Love the sound!!!

I've had my for over a year and love this noise canceling feature and the sound. My only complaint is where the jack comes out of the on/ off control has freyed away because of the bending point. They should have it reinforced at that point. I've had to put tape on my but they eventually broke at that point. I wouldn't buy these until they have fixed that issue. Not worth replacing every year.

Great for travel on business

Bought this specifically for business travel when I may only have a briefcase. They fit easily into my brief. They have been perfect however now the volume control has broken/ stopped working. Hope to get this resolved soon.
