The Bose sound in earphones!

I am extremely impressed with the quality and style of these earphones. The instructions were very easy to read and understand. The earphones have three different sizes: small, medium and large--that use to customize for the best fit. They are made so they do not fall out of your ear. They come with a carrying case and charging cord . You can use them as regular earphones or you can switch it to noise reduction. They truly block outside noises... and the sound is phenomenal.

Great sound quality, Improved my study habits

First, I want to start by saying these headphones were sent to me from Bose as part of their Test and Review Program. When I first heard about these headphones, I didn't honestly think that the noise cancellation technology would work very well. However, I was quickly proven wrong. When I first put these in my ears, I was totally impressed by the excellence of the noise cancellation quality. There was no hissing, and no outside sound interruption whatsoever. While testing the earbuds, my brother’s radio was blasting music at full volume in the background, and I couldn’t hear anything except for a little of the higher frequencies, and this was with no music playing through the earbuds. I'm a sophomore in high school, and let me tell you that these are perfect for using at school, such as during study halls, or between classes when there is a lot of background noise. I easily get distracted by other students talking, but using these headphones made a BIG difference. I noticed myself concentrating on work MUCH more. A great feature of these earbuds is the “Aware Mode”. When someone talks I hit the “Aware Mode” button and it lets the sound through so I can hear what someone is saying without taking the buds out. That is a very handy feature.
But…
Even with such great product, there are a couple of quirks. One thing I noticed is that the location of the volume control and play/pause button is in the exact location to be pressed up against a table and turn up or down the music unintentionally. For taller people, I’m sure this wouldn’t be an issue, but I am around 5’4” and it’s happened to me a couple of times. Also, the battery pack it made this nice clingy material, which is not slippery and feels comfortable in your hand, but happens to attract dust and dog hair like a magnet.
With that said, I am happy to say that there are definitely many, MANY more pros than cons with these earbuds. Overall these are excellent for studying, working, traveling, school, doing yard work, watching movies, etc.
I look forward to using these daily. Good Job Bose!

QuietComfort 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling Headphones – Review by Goose
Disclaimer:
I was very excited to receive my first item to review. I already own a Q25, which I enjoy it a lot and I use it regularly for long flights. Whilst I am not a big fan of in-ear headphones, I decided to take my personal view aside so I can provide a fair and honest review. Please note I used '*' to rate each topic, being 5 top rated and 1 low rated.
I - PACKAGING:
* * * * *
➢ Nice and well designed packaging
➢ Easy to carry if you buy it in the airport or somewhere else where you are already carrying luggage
➢ I like when you have a summary of the product capability on the back it makes easier to the consumer to analyze whether the product is suitable for what he/she is looking for.
➢ Product was well fit an all required parts were easy to spot and take out of the box
➢ Instructions were ok, I don’t like them anyway
➢ Nice touch and well done for the little pouch/carrying bag.
-----
II - PRODUCT DESIGN AND COMFORT
* * * *
➢ Nice design for the headphones, the in-ear plugs look a bit big but I can understand why
➢ Good idea to add more in-ear plugs with the product
➢ The box is made of rubber type material which avoids scratching and skipping surfaces, that’s good
➢ Overall good designing and comfortable to wear, but not for long hours or trips, maybe adding different colors may attract younger consumers more. For trips or activities up to 2 hours I would take Q20 for longer activities and trips I would use my Q25.
------
III - SOUND QUALITY WITHOUT NOISE BLOCKING
* * *
➢ It is ok, not great.
------
IV - SOUND QUALITY WITH NOISE BLOCKING:
* * * * *
➢ Very good, superb actually.
➢ Bass is strong but at same time keeps the music clean and enables you to enjoy different types of music, (I tried R&B, Rock, Soft, Pop, Classical and Folk)
➢ I tried it movies in my computer and the result was great.
➢ I used it when going to the park, it works perfectly
➢ When going to work the noise cancelling was pretty good even for Manhattan high and constant noise levels
➢ Traveling, it blocked the airplane noise well too, as good as Q25
➢ Overall sound quality, Q25 gives a more depth quality noise than Q20, nevertheless the later does a very good job in terms of noise cancelling and sound quality.
------
V - BATTERY:
* * *
➢ It promises 16 hours of life, I haven’t tried using it for 16 hours straight yet, but for long flights I would trust more a AAA battery headphone more, like my Q25. If suddenly the battery dies you can simply exchange the battery.
➢ Please see my recommendation below, I would add a small plug to offer an additional way to recharge the battery if you can access a USB port, or if your computer is also struggling for battery.
➢ The manual says it requires only 2 hours charging… sometimes it seemed more than that for full charge.
-----
VI - CONTROLS:
* * * *
➢ I would add an additional button for turning the noise cancelling off/on in the volume controls section (please see recommendations section)
➢ Easy and straight forward controls, quick to learn and get familiar with them
➢ One control feature that I need to congratulate you for thinking to add was the awareness button, before I started reviewing the product, my wife was concerned that if I wear the headphones on noise cancelling mode it could expose me to potential accidents if I couldn’t hear a bike, car, truck etc… coming or beeping towards me.

Sound blocking works great

I got these because I needed comfortable earbuds that stay in my ears and block out noise. These are great for blocking out noise and fit pretty well. Since they are rechargeable, via USB, they have a small battery attached and that means there is a little more weight to it than other earbuds, but I was really blown away with how quiet the background noise became when I turned these on.

Love the Bose warmth

Verified Purchase:Yes
Before purchasing this and the Quiet Comfort 25 headphones, I was already an owner of the Solo for my TV. I was already a fan of the warm, deep and clear sound that Bose offers. I'm experiencing that same Bose sound in both of these products. But noise cancelling takes it to the next level. Imagine being in an acoustically perfect room with a Bose system. And these stereo earphones are the most durable I've seen so far. I'm happy. Thanks Bose. Forever a fan

I am a well experienced Bose customer, I had a couple of headphones sets before, and a speaker form Bose. When It comes to quality sound I always would chose Bose over other brands. I was not a big fan of noise cancelling system – even from Bose, I was just getting a weird feeling from it. But this thanks giving I got a pair of QuietComfort® 20 Acoustic Noise Cancelling® headphones. This was by far the best experience with headphones I had so far.
Headphones are every well assembled, no loose parts, made out of very quality plastic. The in-ear part is made out of silicon and fits in the ears perfectly. Headphones come with three sizes of StayHear®+ tips – small, medium and large, I decided to stick with the medium size. It fits in the ear very comfy, but after 5-6 hours of usage I started feeling a little discomfort in my ears, also it was not very comfortable to fall asleep in them. The thing I liked a lot about the headphones is that left and right is very easy to distinguish – which a lot of earphones do not have. The cord is made out of harder plastic you would see in AE2 headphones (not sure if they still make them), seems to be very reliable, but I am still kind of concerned about it, it has two more bases because of the noise cancelling block, that is where wire usually breaks (if breaks) – it breaks at the basis because it bends, but I hope this won’t be a problem. Being honest, this wire as all wires tangles In a pocket too. The block itself doesn’t cause any trouble putting it in the same pocket with a phone. The only thing I found myself not happy with was the clip - at the airport I unclipped headphones from my shirt countless amount of times.
The noise cancelling system is something amazing, I did not like it before, some friends gave me to try their headphones sometimes – I though it is just not mine. This pair changed my mind, it took me about one song to get used to it, and now I wonder how was I living without it all that time! Right now I am on a plane, enjoying some music. With regular in-ear headphones I would need to turn the volume all the way up in order not to hear the engines, but noise cancelling thing does its job so well – you do not hear it at all! These pair also provides you with a feature of turning noise cancelling off – which I think is pretty neat, if you want to pay attention to what is happening around. When using noise cancelling for a long time - battery lasts around 8-10 hours, which is perfect for one day.
The quality of the sound is always great, Bose has never disappointed me with it. Compared to cheap in-ear headphones that I was using for past three months CQ20 is a completely different experience. When listening to something like The Dark Side Of The Moon – you are truly able to experience sound and music at its best, I have even heard some new parts I did not hear before. I usually listen to music for at least 3-4 hours a day, so if you are a customer like me QC20 would be a perfect fit for you. It does not take any space, weights nothing, and provides you with great sound quality and noise cancelling feature.

What I enjoy the most with the headphones, how comfortable they fit in your ear. The noise cancellation feature is awesome. It's just you and the music, no distractions.
I love the easy use of answering a call. The case is so convenient and light.
I just love BOSE products, it's definitely worth the money.

Amazing and second to none

These headphones are above and beyond the Soundsports I currently have, and those sound great.
The best thing about the earbuds is that I don't notice them being in my ear. When I went for my usual walk after work I found that they're so snug that they don't become loose when I go walking at the park.
As for the noise-cancelling, when you flip the switch, it's as if your ear immediately goes into it's own studio. All of a sudden the only thing you hear is what matters, the music. The outside world immediately goes away, be it if you're outside, inside, or in your car. Actually they're so good that if you're using them in the car you won't ever have to worry about road noise again.
Now to the sound. I have Bose for all my audio needs, and even I was surprised at how clean and crisp the music is now that it's not having to compete with outside noise (people talking, cars, etc.). Because you're not competing with other sounds, I was able to hear the little sounds I already heard with my other earbuds with even more clarity. It is like hearing the music new again with an even greater appreciation and pleasure for it. I understand more than ever the difference between someone who likes music and an audiophile, and now I feel more like the latter than ever.
As for the battery, it fits perfectly behind my phone as it lays sleek when I have it in my shirt or track jacket pocket. It does seem a bit cumbersome and bulky when moving around with it in my hands around the house or office though, but that's a price worth paying when you want the best sound you can get, and from these earbuds, the sound is second to none.
Note: I received these free from Bose.
