Poor Quality Aesthetics

I bought the white version a year ago and use them daily for work and listening to podcasts/music/etc. This is my first Bose headphone product and I was instantly in love it and thought the noise cancelling was fantastic.
However, I've learned over the past year that the quality/durability is terrible for the price. Although I'm careful with storing them in the nice zipper pouch that comes with the product, within 9 months the rubber connecting the cord with the piece that plugs into the phone has worn away, exposing the wires inside. Additionally, there's a rubbery film that covers the rectangular battery part that has torn and is falling away. I've had the wires becoming exposed with other headphone products, but they were a tenth of the price of these headphones so less of an investment. I'd consider other options for headphones unless you're ok with buying a new pair of these each year.

Great at first, but the long-term quality let down

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the QC20 for Christmas in 2014 in Denmark. I have loved them for their great fit, sound and noise cancelling. But about 6 months ago, the cable started breaking. I know I have owned them for a long time, but such a high-end and expensive product, should come with a better build quality. I patched up the first point where the cable broke, but now it has started to break on another part of the cable. I have owned and tried other QC-products, and all the cables seem durable on those, but the QC20, have a very low quality cable. I would also like to know if it is possible to repair this, as they are great headphones over all. I really love the compact noise cancelling they provide.

QC20i is a sanity saver

This was my first noise canceling device. The demo at the Bose store was excellent and I bought the QC20i. The true test of these earphones, however, was on a 6-hour flight with a stranger's "boisterous" 2-year old kid sitting behind me who was active the whole time. Turning on the noise canceling without inserting the plug into my iPhone, the jet engine drone and the kid's too loud voice were reduced to nearly a whisper. Connected to my iPhone with music turned on to low volume effectively masked the the engine and kid, and I could relax and go to sleep. Bliss! Totally worth the price for the sake of my sanity when traveling.

Best headphones ever!

I bought this about a couple weeks ago and this is a great product. I use it to cut the lawn and I cannot get a enough of the fact that you can barley hear the mower, I hope to buy more of your products.

Awesome noise cancelation

I bought them two weeks ago and I just love the noise cancelation feature. I travel a lot by car and the difference with the cancelation on and without is huge. A very good thing about them is that you don't have to increase volume when you are in a noisy environment and damage your hearing :). Btw the sound quality is OK, I guess it could be better for this price. The ear buds stick in your ear very tight. They are also very comfortable. You can use them for pretty much the whole day and you'll still be ok, your ears won't really hurt.
You won't have any problem with the battery I charge it every three days and use the headphones every day. I think it's OK. The battery is not so big and it fits very well in your pocket. It won't also scratch your phone's screen because it's covered with a nice material that seems to be a bit like a gum or sth. The only problem is that it catches all the dust from your pocket.

I purchased these headphones after review of multiple products online through external review companies, and Bose came out on top for quality of noise cancellation. I was looking for a set that are light, small, and easy to travel with since I do a lot of traveling both domestic and international. Sleeping on planes is usually a requirement for me, so silence is imperative. Additionally, I work in a warehouse where there is constant noise, and was hoping they would help tamper some of the background. The portability of the item is what caused me to choose it over the bulkier, over-ear headphones offered by Bose and other companies. The product is incredibly easy to operate. I like the control buttons on the cord, which allow increase/decrease of volume, pausing, resuming play, and turning the noise cancellation on/off.
I am seriously impressed!!! The headphones are comfortable in my small female ears, something that I struggle with in other earphones and ear plugs. The battery pack that works the magic is smaller and thinner than I expected, which is a nice bonus. The package also came with a sturdy, reinforced shell case to carry them in.
The sound quality is clear and balanced. They're as good as any set of headphones I've owned before. What really stands out above the rest is the quality of noise cancellation. At work, I'm currently sitting in an office inside a cavernous warehouse, with air conditioners running, carts and forklift operators moving around, outside music playing, a portable heater running, and I'm typing on my keyboard. And all I can hear is my music, clear and plentiful in my ears.
Bose, you do not disappoint. I can't wait to try these on my next flight!

Bought these to test, with 95% confidence that i would return during the 30 day trial period. WRONG. These things are amazing. I have used them in the office, but also at the kids crazy indoor gym ... they work in noisiest, most chaotic environments. Very pleased and happy to have them ...
