Great Camera

This is a great camera, the picture i took look very good better than the one I took with my old camera. For the price, it's worth it. I just got it and it already amaze me. I run an online business and the picture of the merchandise i took looks really good.
Pros: easy to use, excellent image quality

I love my little camera! Took it on vacation recently and have over 500 great photos. It fits in my pocket, so it as always readily available. Simple to use, even for my husband who is technically challenged:) Battery lasts pleny long and recharges quickly.Only wish it had more zoom, but for me it is SUPER!

Cons: could have more zoom

The Canon SD1200IS

A small camera with BIG camera quality picture. This digital camera is really easy to use, easy to learn it's uses.
It has good video for a camera of it's size, and is easy to switch to the video mode.
This is a take with you everywhere digital camera, you can't go wrong with it.

Best Cam in reasonable price and comparatively lighter than previous model SD1200 and SD 780 are the newest one .I like it

Very Pleased

I haven't had my own cameral for many years. My husband's camera was just too bulky for me so I never used it. He doesn't even like to carry it so we've missed many picture opportunities. The SD1200 is fantastic. It is just the right size to make it easy to carry everywhere. The directions were easy to follow for setup even though I am technology challenged. It takes great pictures. I have tried it with extreme closeups of flowers as well as landscapes and pictures of our pets. The photos of our basement remolding even came out well. The CD loaded quickly into my computer, and I have been able to send pictures to my daughter. The battery lasts a long time, and the controls are quite easy to master. I am very pleased.

Missing Favorite Feature

I have purchased this camera for both of my older children (college age) in 2007 and 2008. And we were all amazed at the little camera. One of our favorite features was the color accent mode...teenagers love it. So when I decided to buy my teenage daughter a camera for Christmas there was no doubt which one to buy...the other two have held up so well and take such great pictures and of course have the fun color accent mode. So imagine my daughters and my disappointment when we realized that this is no longer a setting on this model, in order to get this setting you have to buy a camera that is much to pricey for a teenager.
Pros: good battery life, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: Missing features/settings, Poor Low-Light Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I can't believe Canon put a different battery in the 1200 from the 1100. I have both cameras, but this doesn't give me a spare battery or charger.
