not as happy as with my SD600

photo quality seems okay but i'm not happy about the blurriness with any movement. i bought this to replace my SD600 (only because i used it so much that it needs to be replaced) and will return it. i had to retake so many photos, where with my sd600 that almost never happened. maybe due to face detection- not sure.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, Simple controls/menu, easy to use
Cons: blurry with any movement
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My daughter bought her camera a few weeks before me, that gave me a chance to check it out up close. I liked what saw and bought mine shortly thereafter. I'm very pleased and haven't really found anything that I don't like about the camera.
I'm not sure about the battery life yet, I'll need to use it more to determine whether it's adequate or not. I do think the charger is a really great design.
Pros: Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

This is a excelent camera. I'm recommend use this camera. You take a photo and the color, definition and other caracteristica is a excelent surprise.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I just got this camera today! i love it! its very fast and take wonderful pictures, the color are gorgeous and its a bit smaller then the others. great price get it and i know you'll love it.
Pros: easy to use, Simple controls/menu, Nice features/settings, Bright LCD, excellent image quality, Good Low-Light Performance, Lightweight/Portable, good battery life, durable

My ONLY complaint is that the camera takes too long to focus. I ALWAYS miss the shot! I never seemed to have this problem with the SD800 IS. I compared the two cameras side-by-side and the SD800 IS snapped the image first every time. I'm ready to get rid of this camera just for this reason. I hope CANON takes a serious look at this problem. I'm an engineer at NASA and know there's an issue that needs attention.
Cons: too long to focus

Poor picture quality

I have to agree with many of the other owners of this camera: Poor image quality, washed out colors, poor contrast, lack of clarity in details. Nice appearance and feel, but just not what I expected. As stated by others, pictures look great on camera screen, but not when viewed on a computer. Returned this one and purchased the SD780 IS. Check the reviews on that one, and you'll be better off.

Cons: Poor image quality, Poor Low-Light Performance

Cannot override flash csettings. Want flash at times that automatic setting does not allow.

I received this camara as gift to replace an older canon powershot model that I loved. I have to say I was dissappointed and returned it after trying to give it a fair shot for a couple of months. It took very poor indoor pictures, always requiring the flash. I found in taking pictures of my 7 month old daughter that she would end up squinting in every picture. Even with seemingly great natural lighting the auto mode still used a flash. In manual mode with the flash off, it would blurr the images no matter how much lighting you had! If my daughter was on the move at all, the pictures would also be blurred.
It did take good outdoor pictures with a sharp image and good color saturation. I would recommend this camara for someone primarily looking to take outdoor still images, not babies on the go!
