Canon Does it Again!!

This is the best Canon camera I've bought so far!
I have had two other Canon digital cameras in the past and this is the best one, so far. The size is perfect for throwing in a pocket. The image quality is just incredible. The features are nice, especially for the size of the camera. Battery life is good and the battery charger is nice and compact as well. Do yourself a huge favor and purchase this camera. You won't be dissapointed!

Great Camera--Love the Color Selection

This camera takes good quality pictures without confusing you with all of these confusing options. It has three basic settings- auto, manual, and video. The only thing that I don't like about this camera is the limited number of options on the scene menu. I absolutely love the self-timer and the weight of it. Canon is the only camera company that I buy from.
Pros: good battery life, Nice features/settings, durable, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use, great quality color
Cons: not very many scene selections

This is an excellant small digital camera.I have always used SLRs and was looking for a small digital camera with a viewfinder to carry in my purse. It has almost all the qualities and features of my Canon Rebel XTI. I figured that being a Canon it had to be good.I bought just before leaving on a trip and am very pleased with the photos taken.The rechargable battery seems to have a long life and the camera is easy to operate. I only wish it came with a "complete" instruction manual. Would buy this again.

I received this camera from my nephew for Christmas. It is very easy to use. I took a lot of pictures right on Christmas.

Worth its weight in gold

I love this camera. Seriously, it is one of the best cameras I have ever owned. I am an amateur photographer, and student. I do not, therefore, have the money to spend on high-end DSLR camera. After my last camera died, I spent weeks searching for a good replacement. This is it. It does just about everything you could want, and for the best price too. I never thought it would be this good. The auto settings almost always choose the right scenario. It has all the basic features, and even some I din't expect, like long shutter.
The problem I have with it is that its optical zoom is a bit lacking. I have seen cameras with better zoom. That being said, it makes up for it with great focus and clear images. Another thing that bugs me is that the screen often makes the photo look better than it is, and on numerous occasions, I have gotten a great shot, only to open it on the computer, and find it blurry.
Overall, it is the best camera I have ever had, and it's few cons are greatly outweighed by its features and general performance.

happy with purchace

after talking to salesman about the 3 settings (auto, program & movie) I found the camera very easy to use. I have a Canon A530 and have used it for 4 years and the SD1200is much easier to navigate and the photo quality superior. I would recommend this camera to anyone who wants a camera that can do everything for you and you can still be creative using the program mode.
the only feature missing is the erase all feature or I just have not found it yet.

First digital camera

This is the first digital camera I have ever had; finally gave up on my 20 year old film camera. Just printed out the Canon SD1200 pictures I took on a Mt Rushmore trip and they were great. Good clarity, good color.
