Great Camera

This is a great camera that can produce great images. It is fairly easy to figure out and has a wide range of settings to choose from for various situations and manipulations. I work in a photo lab and have played with and seen images from a large selection of digital point and shoots and this one is at the top of the list for its price range. I would highly recommend it to anyone from the technologically uninformed up through professionals who just need a simple camera for having fun with. The only thing I would change would be to add a bulb setting.
Pros: good battery life, Good Low-Light Performance, Nice features/settings, excellent image quality, Bright LCD, Lightweight/Portable, Simple controls/menu, easy to use

I love this camera!

I love a lot of the features on this camera. When I first used it I kept the setting on "Auto" and realized in low-light setting the quality was horrible. I couldn't understand why b/c the camera was near perfect in every other aspect. So I went and looked at the Camera User Guide and figured out how to work it. Once you take the time to understand your camera you'll really begin to love it and all it has to offer. The camera is a bit pricy for a "point and shoot" camera, but I think it's worth saving up for especially for a camera like this.

Amazing Camera.

So I just bought this today, and I probably will be adding another review later, but so far it has been amazing. The camera adjusts itself to make the photo the finest it can be. There are many complicated features, however, so if you are looking for a simple camera, this is probably not for you. Unless you are a manual reader. ;) But I am in love with this camera, it is small, small enough to fit in the palm of my hand, and trust me, I have small hands. You can record High Definition videos. There's also this feature called Color Accent where you can take photos and make them show only one color of something. It's a very neat camera, I would definitely recommend it to a friend. The photos turn out amazing, and they show every little detail. Overall this is the best camera I have ever bought.

The SD780IS is a wonderful camera from Canon! I just finished testing 10 other compact, digital cameras from various manufacturers and the SD780IS came out far ahead! The 720P video adds a huge bonus to the great pictures this camera takes! If you're looking for a tiny, quality, digital camera then this is the product for you!

at first i was gonna get the SD 1200 but this baby here had HD + the black is just looks awesome! video so i was like what the heck, this camera is definitely awesome and i recommend it to anyone - easy to use - great pictures[awesome quality] might i add. . . def looking forward to more from canon !

First Digital Point & Shoot

Simply put I love this camera. Outside of work, I would never have a camera on me, because I simply didn't want to be lugging my SLR's around to get those great snap-shots that occur unpredictably while having a fun night out on the town with friends. When I saw the SD 780 IS that all changed. As my first digital point & shoot I have been nothing but pleased with the images it produces. Great value, great size, great images. Nice job Canon.

Good Concert Camera!

The compact size and all-black finish gives this camera the stealth qualities necessary to sneak it into concerts. No, I will not tell you how. ISO 400 and adjust the exposure down by two clicks. I would very much like to see a firmware to return the SuperFine picture quality setting. Some of us like the larger file size since a picture with more data will turn out a better image when printed.
