[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a true example of a product which is plug and play. I removed my previous CD burner, plugged in the LG, and (especially after the sporadic performance of the unit I was replacing) was extremely pleased with the ease and speed of the LG CD burner when I created a CD to be played in my car! It simply works perfectly, as it should - when I saw it was made by LG, I thought that it must be a good product, and I was right.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a year ago to replace my Samsung Blu-ray player that I had to replace 3 times. This was a great switch. I've had zero problems with my player and it has an incredible picture quality to it. I'll definitely purchase again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this for a holiday present and couldn't be happier. It does exactly what I want and seems rugged enough to be portable. Write speeds are great for a device that uses USB 2.0, read speeds are great as well. The only slight negatives I've seen are the included software which works, but lacks newer functions unless you buy their upgrades. That's not really LG's fault, it's Cyberlink's, so I didn't take away a star. Overall if you're considering this reader/writer, get it.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've owned it for just a short while but no problems at all so far. I researched information on the drives before buying this one so I knew exactly what to expect. This drive makes no more noise than one that comes built-in with older pcs or laptops. I have burned a couple of discs so far and they burned just fine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was able to plug and play this device. It has functioned as promised. However, I have older CD's that have images and clip art on them and this device will not read them. I was wondering if there is any software I could install of aid me on this matter? The primary reason for my purchase was to access older CD's for images I need for my design work. Otherwise, this product is functioning as advertised.
