Bought this 1 week ago put a few CD's on my computer and now i can't do anything with it. It has power but doesn't get recognized by the computer or something anymore. Very unhappy.

Turned off the Desktop PC & not working on laptop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I got this product a month or more ago because I want to watch DVDs and BluRays on my PC. Simple enough, and I brought back a movie I wanted to watch. Alright, open the package and it comes with a USB that has a connection for the main thing and the power supply. Ok, go to plug it into my PC and- "UNABLE TO USE USB! LOW POWER INPUT!" "UNABLE TO USE USB! LOW POWER INPUT!" "UNABLE TO USE USB! LOW POWER INPUT!" Take it out and- huh, my mic and and mouse is off when that happened. Ok, unplug and replug those in. I was using the front USB ports, but then I use the back instead now, and- ENTIRE DESKTOP SHUTSDOWN!!! THE WHOLE FREAKING TOWER!! Ok, unplug it and now use my laptop instead... There's no warning for low power, no indication that it's connected despite it being plugged into the Laptop. So now I'm stuck with a device that actually harms my main PC and refuses to work on my laptop. just Dandy...

worked for 1 day. now it won't recognize the drive. absolute piece of rubbish, and no support for driver downloads or anything.

Firmware screwed it up

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The latest firmware update makes the drive unrecognisable on MAC. Disc spins for about 30seconds then it just spits it out. Used to work great, now its useless!!
