Yellow and cyan XL cartridges

After printing less than 50 pages with very little color my indicators show that I have half of cyan and yellow left.
Normally I would give you this rating. I buy ahead and I used one cyan 920 and I wanted to bring out my report fo taxes. The printer acknowledged my putting in the cyan, but when I printed out my eleven pages, the debits could hardly be read. What happened ??
I bought all new ink cartridges only to have it now tell me that there's an error with the print head.

Hi,
I'm very sorry that you are getting this error message. That sounds frustrating.
That is not a problem with your new cartridges. The printhead is in the printer itself and holds the cartridges. You can take a look at it to make sure it is firmly in place and that the latch is down.
If the error still appears, reset the printer (unplug it while it is on, wait a minute and then plug it in again).
If that does not work, there is still hope. You can contact us for help. Just use a contact method found at: hp.com/contactHP
